  1. I don't think Jake Long is interested in taking a substantial pay cut to play on the right side. For once, the offensive line is not a major concern.
  2. I suppose I understand what you're getting at, but it's not as if Moore, Jones, and Urbik are going to require a fortune to resign. They will be re-signed at reasonable prices, and without much hassel IMO. McKelvin's salary will essentially be McGee's so it's an equal trade-off so to speak. As for Levitre and Byrd, the money there can come from Kelsay and most likely Merriman. We are not 'cap-strapped.'
  3. Wrong. Those are base salaries. Go look at contacts and you'll see that with bonuses, top OG's are making 7-9 mil per. Ben Grubbs (not as good as Levitre IMO) 5yrs 36mil Carl Nicks 5yrs 47.5mil Levitre should be getting around a 7mil avg. but it wouldn't bother me if it was 8. Guy is a stud and has shown top end talent as well as an ability to stay on the field.
  4. Haha. You give too many people here too much credit. By some people's estimation it will take four seasons of 17+ sacks for him to earn his money.
  5. Not to mention the 1st rounder on Maroney.
  6. Jauron was here for 3.9. Funny how we're using decimals to determine length of stay though. And you are most correct, Saban leaving Miami wasn't even in the same area code to Petrino leaving ATL.
  7. Yeah, especially sice there's new ownership in Miami too. True, but I'd be willing to see if he learned from his mistakes. Belicheck didn't succeed at 1st and he is the coach I would most compare Saban to personality-wise. It took Carroll a second time, and as far as the dicator thing, Harbaugh is similar except he pats guys on the back. Kinda sad when you think millionaires need this but we're all human I suppose.
  8. Rivers was at his best with a dynamic run game. We have a dynamic run game. Anybody who doesn't think Rivers wouldn't be an upgrade is looking too hard for faults. Never mind the credibility he would bring to the team, something our coach and owner don't do .
  9. Or if he can return to form, the team doesn't have to worry about a QB for 6-7 years.
  10. Good question, but off the top of my head I can't remember when we've beat the Titans lately. This will be a good litmus test to see if Chan can keep with the ground n' pound style that suits our team in a December game (or any time for that matter). I also think that while their corners are talented, both can play undisciplined ball at times and will be susceptible to double-moves on the outside. They'll be playing the slants tough so Chan will have to gameplan to take advantage of their over-aggressiveness.
  11. RE: Dabo, it's more likely Jimbo had to do some damage control for his knucklehead nephew. Probably took him hunting.
  12. He's making Chad Henne look damn good. Kinda makes me think how good the Jags would be if MJD was healthy.
  13. Crapiest team who puts a claim on him will be awarded his services.
  14. Yup, and there have been plenty of other missed bombs this year that would make us forget of Fitz's propensity for the short game. They certainly weren't at their best on Sunday, but taking the entire season into account, I've been happy with their play.
  15. True. because Ralph spent ZERO this past offseason.
  16. I'm glad I read the thread before angrily posting, because the OPs concern is summed up perfectly by this response. Williams dominated the first few Colts series and the rest of the line benefited and that's not taking anything away from how well Mario has played for the past few weeks.
  17. Ahhhhhhhh. Usually it's posters thinking they're a better headcoach than Chan, now we have people probably believing they could referee a game better. To all the armchair experts out there, it is difficult to call something in a game that goes a million miles an hour and not have a bad call here or there. I reccommend you start reffing high-school sports if you have the time and you'll see just how difficult it really is. The NFL is 1000x harder. PS: There is no conspiracy. Just the human-element at play.
  18. Yeah, because Troy and Ed aren't living off their reputations of 3-4 years ago... You're crazy.
  19. I dont think anyone realized how good he was going to be so I dont blame the Bills. And Marcell has been turning it up of late.
  20. Well played, unlike any ball thrown in his general direction...
  21. You're right about the details, but is there anything more annoying than someone on the plane not following simple directions and screwing things up?
  22. While it's difficult to argue with the bolded, CJ himself said after the game he was winded because of the heavier workload. I love to critcize as much as the next guy, but somethimes being the armchair coach doesn't give us what's actually transpiring down on the sidelines. Nonetheless, if anything, it shows how much we miss Freddy because Choice is lightyears behind both guys.
  23. I've been a Kelsay supporter for the longest time, but if Merriman is indeed healthy then I'd prefer a rotation of Merriman and Moore. The money saved from Kelsay will then go to Byrd and Levitre.
  24. Probably not. And if he did, the karma police interjected and injured Gronk an behalf of his hubris.
  25. Nawww. VIPs get this stuff all the time. Go to Tempo on a gamenight for the Sabres and they'll take walk-ins with Sabres jerseys on.
