  1. The pregame walk with open beverage in hand and backup in my pocket to drink while waiting in line is a time honored tradition at the Ralph. The 5% f$@king ruin it for everyone.
  2. Totally off topic, but it's damn refreshing to see Whaley laughing on the sidelines and smiling a lot. Nice change of pace to the stoic-types who seem to have infiltrated the ranks of nearly every GM post. Ever. Perhaps he realizes he picks players to play on a team for a living. Kinda nice.
  3. Numerous arrest records in one draft... Loved a quote an analyst said where good teams have the most "guys you'd want on your side during a bar fight"...can be interpreted many ways but its a different mentality around there for sure.
  4. True about Chan. But I think the Marrone hire has a lot of Brandon on it...in a good way. I think we'll all be pleasantly surprised with the job he'll do from here on out.
  5. Makes sense. Seemed a bit "odd" i.e. unBuddy-like.
  6. Product of machine? Certainly. No talent hack? Certainly not. But I really don't do the country thing.
  7. I mean, we all drink the Kool Aid. It's just that by week 10 many of us start to enjoy ours with a bit of vodka in it.
  8. Agree with pretty much everything. Byrd and Mario are different, I'll go with that but guys like that are essential to winning cause they have the most talent/ability. I hope Dareus rebounds this season cause ideally, he's the guy to be the vocal and "lead by example" player on the defense. As for Gilmore, I sense he fits more into the former camp with Byrd. On offense, there's more than enough IMO. All the guys you listed, plus I'd even add Spiller in there too. Guys feed off his energy it seems, because in a league of damn impressive athletes he evokes the "holy sh@t did you just see that" on a regular basis.
  9. By all indications, the guy has played through nagging injuries throughout his entire career and missed only two games to date. I fail to see how being concerned about his own health is acting "like a diva." He's had his surgeries in the off-season, hence; I'm led to believe his or his father's concerns about his injuries are credible and merit consideration. And really, who cares if his dad wants him to get an MRI? He comes from a NFL family so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt they know how to handle these situations. I have no problem with a player taking care of their body as it ultimately pays the bills later in life. I'm sorry if you feel sensitive that I'm a bit sensitive to us Bills fans insinuating one of our best players is whining about their injuries (i.e. Mario). I just don't see the evidence, but then again I don't have insider information as you do. Buffalo sports fans have an innate ability to crap on their team's best players for their perceived (mostly imagined) shortfalls. Here's to Byrd re-signing long term.
  10. 1.Stevie 2. Woods 3. Graham 4. Rogers If the young guys pan out, not too bad of a WR corps in the making. Don't know how to project Goodwin quite yet.
  11. You must have. 62 total TDs in two seasons with that supporting cast, I'd say he's doing just fine.
  12. A lot of dbags have become good QBs in the league before and a lot of the same things were said about Cam Newton. I wonder if these quotes were pre-draft smoke or post-draft revelations. I'm sure a lot of these criticisms are valid but I guess I hope he succeeds given his rough life...just not against the Bills, of course.
  13. I'd disagree with that. Probably one of two guys on defense that game plans are drawn up for.
  14. Am I the only one who thinks Wood doesn't deserve a huge 2nd contract given his injury history. Love the guy, and yes he's very good when healthy, but how the management handles his negotiations will be very interesting. And as for Byrd, pay the man like a top-5 player at his position and the imaginary problem of Eugene Parker will magically disappear.
  15. Dammit, I checked in from my vacation in Spain for this?????
  16. I find it embarrassing that someone can get addicted to weed. Honey Badger doesn't even strike me as the type that would have good bud either. Hopefully he's got his sh-t straight and he can utilize his talent cause the man is gonna have an impact IMO.
  17. Good analysis, but with Davis there's definitely some depreciation brought on by the pot that we'll call "external obsolescence." It can be cured, but in the long run it'll help bring down the overall value of the property player.
  18. Very cool indeed. This is the second time he's been in the news for donating vehicles. Hope everyone doesn't crap on him for this like last time. Cue the "they get bad mpg" argument in 3, 2, 1...
  19. I'll take Barkley in Rd. 1. Gotta take a chance on a QB sooner or later. Funny how a great year followed by a good year knocked this guy down in so many people's minds.
  20. Easiest solution, but misery needs company I suppose.
  21. O-line shouldn't be a weakness, but it's easy to forget how poorly Glenn actually graded out last year. Couple with the possible departure of Levitre, I can see why many think O-line might be the pick
  22. I take it you haven't seen Hatfield and McCoys then? One of the best miniseries I've ever seen. Costner and the series win Emmys for it. Waterworld was a long time ago.
  23. Letting Byrd walk and taking a safety early in the draft would be bad. Letting a slow, UFA who is coming off a serious injury walk isn't ll that bad IMO. The team is obviously (hopefully) hoarding its resources to resign their top-level guys in Byrd and Levitre which is the right move.
  24. Lloyd kinda sucks. One good year with Cutler I believe, nothing close to the consistency Stevie has been able to produce over the past three seasons. Not saying that Stevie would put up huge numbers in NE, but saying Lloyd is more accomplished is based off what?
