  1. Seriously? I feel like the Tuel love affair is a bit overblown. I'm seeing lots of batted down balls, below average accuracy and really nothing that leads me to believe he's a legit backup. We're in bad shape if this is indeed the case IMO.
  2. We most certainly could, but it would extremely bad business on the Bills end.
  3. I find it ironic that all the people who criticize ESPN so much, watch ESPN so much. NBC is betting big-time on the continued growth and popularity of soccer in the US. If this does succeed, and all indications are it will over time, it will be a nice little slice of the pie. Laugh all you want about soccer, but it has the potential to be big in 5-10 years.
  4. Amen. If there's one guy who us fan's shouldn't ever worry about it's KW. And he said something along the lines of being only "85%" back from injury too.
  5. Couldn't disagree more JR. Five years ago those guys were game-planned for. Not anymore. Byrd is a better player than both right now.
  6. 1-Perhaps he was just in possession of some dank weed. 2-Valid question. There had to be some probable cause. 3-Yes, lack of DWAI (ability impaired) would signify the patrolman believed him not to be stoned. I'm curious to was the PC was for the cop to pull him over. Was he speeding, swerving, tints, loud music, was it something other than any of these that made the cop think something was weird.
  7. Very, very, very minor tear in the knee. Actually had surgery, 3 week turnaround with a week 1 return as the target date. Nothing really earth-shattering w/ this news. Don't shoot the messenger.
  8. Naw. Trading a non-factor like Shep for a player that may potentially add to a suspect pass rush is good business. Stop pissing in my Cheerios.
  9. Agreed. I think Da'Rick is PS material or gone altogether. This will be quite the interesting couple of weeks if he puts in another solid performance in the "all important" game 3 of preseason.
  10. Having Spiller reminds me of all those playoff series with Hasek when the Sabres were clearly overmatched but we just had "that guy." It was like sorry, "we've got Hasek and you don't." Miller even a couple of years ago against Philly until he fudged up game 7. Spiller reminds me a lot of that. AP was the same way last year with Minny. No way that was a playoff worthy team, and he simply put the team on his back.
  11. And Sully emphatically declares Mario is 5x the player Bruce ever was?
  12. All things considered, I'd rather have Kiko on the team than Ray Ray,
  13. Mario has 17 sacks. Sully continues to nit-pick the quality of said sacks.
  14. True, the ebb and flow of positivity and negativity from guys like Sully are definitely linked to the product on the field (for the most part). What was very "hack-like" IMO today, was Sully (on a not so very well-disguised campaign against MW) was to compare MW's Twitter pics to the Hernandez situation. That's lazy and uninspired. Sully takes pride in being the "smart man's" journalist and should know better. He had no retort when J. White called him on it and it just sounded bad on his part.
  15. Before we jump to conclusions, Lawson will be in an entirely different scheme here. I'd like to think Whaley and Pettine talked this through and made a sound judgment for that side of the ball. Also, Barnett was cool and even good the year before but his play dropped off considerably as the season wore on.
  16. Fitz forgot more about "it" in one season than Trent ever had in his whole career IMO. He simply lacked the arm.
  17. The Bills lose a lot and cause heartbreak which inevitably leads to drinking. Hence, my favorite imaginary beer...Samuel L. Jackson "It'll get you drunk."
  18. LB=vicious, athletic position. QB=most demanding, cerebral perhaps in all of sports. It's not the booze, it's the attitude and indifference he seems to display at all times.
  19. Agreed. Problem is, I just don't think he's that good. I'd be more worried about his arm-strength/size than his party-skills.
  20. I still find it amazing he may allegedly have been involved in a murder and nobody seemed to care.
  21. Oh, I totally understand there is a long list of questionable "incidents." I just think many on here assail his leadership (if he's viewed as one to begin with) based on little things like this. That, I find excessive.
  22. Yup. Don't understand the comments on here either that question his leadership skills because of the shirt. Imagine the list of perceived "great leaders" that were actually total dbags. As Goose would say, it's long and distinguished.
  23. Fair enough, I'll disagree with most of those but I'm simply curious over the next few years how many players at either safety position will be better than Byrd. To me, it's maybe 2-3. And if this is the case, that's hardly a deterrent to paying him the money he seeks. If we have to "overpay" (as many seem to think we do), we may as well "overpay" for our good players.
  24. I'm curious given his production and durability, what safeties you would rather have on your team for the next 5 years? Why haven't they? Giving up picks and 40mil is rough on any team.
