  1. Very true. Love Jaws, but he is limited. What irks me the most about comparing rookie QBs to last years class is that all of a sudden Russel Wilson is spoken as if he carried a 1st round grade all along. Its easy to forget how many of the experts had him below the 3rd round where he was selected.
  2. I found that to be hilariously 'embarrassing' on his part lol. But as we say, Stevie being Stevie...
  3. I've never seen Stevie "drag" someone 5yds down the field lol. Catch and run? Yes. Catch and run, then dive to avoid contact? Yes.
  4. Very true, but he doesn't have Brady throwing it to him. Hopefully EJ can erase the memory of all those terribly overthrown balls to Spiller where CJ had 3-4 steps on his man in the first place.
  5. Vereen scares the hell out of me coming out of the backfield. Kiko might get a rude awakening to the NFL come Sunday.
  6. Stevie's most underrated celebraish was his Minute Man salute at Foxboro.
  7. Why laugh at it? God forbid he wants to be great. It's not like he's Coy Wire saying he wants to be the next Jack Hamm, and no offense to Coy. You conveniently left out he sat behind two vets early on, and the flash card thing is so arbitrary I could care less. Let's focus on his talent and skill and remember for a second we have one of the most explosive and dynamic players (not only at his position) in the entire NFL.
  8. Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet31m #Bills and C Eric Wood have reached a deal on a contract extension, I'm told. Should have numbers soon...
  9. Who gets open and doesn't drop balls... This is what he brings to the table, is it better than what Easley provides? Tough question, but a good problem to have IMO.
  10. Every year the eternal optimist in me makes a mental checklist of all the reasons why the Bills will be good. After the first two preseason games, the list was steadily growing... Then the dam broke, EJ got hurt, the Byrd situation, Gilmore injury last two preseason games etc. all happened in 10 days and the list became much shorter. So now I'm somewhere in the middle, and like yourself, I have no idea where this leaves me. Exited, anxious, pretty much like every other Bills season.
  11. There's always this as an option, but it makes absolutely no sense on his end if he really wants that 8.5-9mil contract at the end of a season. I don't think it'll go over well in negotiations when Eugene Parker has to explain that his client was butt-hurt, hence he only had 50 tackles and 1 int.
  12. In Tuel, we know we have an UDFA who went 4-22 in college and has struggled against anything worse than 2nd string. I find it hilarious to presume that "we don't know what we have." The Patriots passed on him and signed Tebow. Kinda concerning.
  13. I agree with everything here. Just worried that because he was cut into, however minor, that he might not be ready to play from a physical standpoint. All evidence points to him being good to go, just my natural Bills reservations telling me otherwise. Funny story. So i take it it wasn't one of the four games he won in his career?
  14. That's not what I was talking about, but care to explain why you think the team's #1 QB would be more of a liability than the player the team saw fit not to draft?
  15. Getting Leinart now is like getting Playstation for Christmas when all your friends are getting Playstation 4. Even with this said, I'm really rooting for him and hope he makes the best of this opportunity.
  16. Right? Even with Gronk and AH out, they still come out on top if EJ doesn't play.
  17. LOL. They all got what they wanted. Hopefully this is just par for the course in terms of preparation for the game. It doesn't mean in any shape or form that EJ can't still start.
  18. IDK, how you whine during your entire post about how bad the team is and then you casually insert a "well, they could be a .500 club." Kind of contradictory, no? Secondly, yeah it's en vogue to suggest that RBs are overrated. But what evidence do you have that good RBs don't make a difference in the league. We all watched a piss-poor team in Minny last season get put upon the shoulders of a RB and get carried into the playoffs. Please don't try and tell me that the Vikings made the postseason based on large part to the amazing talents of Christian Ponder. Last season playoff team's RBs...Lynch, Foster, Ridley, AP, Gore, Rice, A. Morris. Sorry, running games matter, otherwise GB doesn't take Lacy in the 2nd. And lastly, you're wrong saying the team would be fine if Spiller was hurt and Freddy resumed the lead back role. Just wrong. Other than that, enjoy the season. I hope you can find something positive with the team otherwise it's not really worth the stress and gray hairs it seems to be causing you. Go Bills!!
  19. I don't think it's a very "rational" perspective on your behalf. Some might even say it's "irrational" all things considered. But then again it's preseason so it's difficult to see what posters are acting "rational" or "irrational" at this point. Most of us aren't in mid-season form, hence the fine line of "irrationality" being walked on this forum. One can hope that the majority of us remain "rational" given it's only preseason and believe it or not, the team is actually 2-1. Would it be "irrational" of me to trumpet the .667% winning percentage the team currently has?
  20. So blame the running game and bad play calling? You don't have to be a Tuel apologist, he's an UDFA that just isn't what many made him out to be after he had his way against 3-4 stringers.
  21. Tuel is exposed against 2nd-stringers and above. Very unimpressive.
