  1. I thought those photos were shot in some garage in suburban Houston?
  2. This never happened. This could never happen...
  3. Faulting the play call is too easy. The reality is he missed a wide open WR in the end zone. I'd rather have coaches who expect his player, however green, to make the read and execute the play. I'm in no way saying it was an easy play, but Tuel screwed up royally there. Sean Smith interviews after the game said as much. Also, this wasn't the coaches throwing a kid under the bus, is was another example of this regime implementing a culture of accountability for all players--100mil man or UDFA. I like Marrone and Hackett saying what all of us were thinking.
  4. Dude it's awesome you're taking him to experience the Bills today. It's the 5% that sucks the fun out of the game at the stadium, the majority of people are awesome. Enjoy!!
  5. Exactly. A lot of armchair physicians need to eat crow on that one. Maybe the guy playing the game knew more about what was needed than the guys talking on radio shows and typing columns after all. Amazing.
  6. If the Bills beat the Saints, Rome will have a Bills player on, the Jungle Karma will then propel us to another win against the Chiefs and the rest of the MSM will take notice. As Rome always says, "the NFL is just a better place when the Bills are relevant." War Bills upset.
  7. It's tough to blame someone when they're getting signals of being a 1st round pick and all the guaranteed cash that comes along with it.
  8. You know it was Brandon who was responsible for bringing those guys aboard, right? If, and it's obviously a HUGE if, the Bills were to make the playoffs this year or next Brandon would be viewed as one of the more progressive and smart up-and-coming "owners/managers/presidents/CEOs" in the league.
  9. That was my favorite part of the mic'ed up footage. He was giddy, almost child-like knowing he had a good one there.
  10. Funny, right? There was an article written in Miami today that talked about him. Said he was very mild mannered, dry-humored and a good teammate. Carpenter said he has no bad feelings in how he was let go. Was interested in how he would be received, said after his first FG, his questions were answered.
  11. Oh man, did you see that first down run Fred had to help close out the game?? He did it basically on ONE leg!! We should trade him while his value is high. Imagine what he could do with two legs...
  12. I have no idea how we'll draft next year. It's such a freaking crapshoot that all I can do is go on past drafts. You kind of make my argument for me when you say we could get a starter or we could get a bust. I know we have a guy who has shown he can be a decent starter at one of the safety positions. I know there is no way we are getting a second or third round pick for him, so there's no value or logic in trading him. But I don't like the idea of trading guys when their value is high. That's not how you build a good team.
  13. Now you're hedging your point on the recent drafting successes of the Bill's FO. Eeesh. Remember, money you have now is worth more than money you can have in the future.
  14. Everyone gets burned deep by Torrey Smith...But the tackle he made ultimately saved/won the game.
  15. Even if you won the Powerball twice, after taxes you wouldn't have the money to buy the team. I know, I've daydreamed the scenario many times in my head...
  16. Martin's weakness is his 'weakness.' Get ready for the bull-rush.
  17. The word stud is used a little too frequently in this thread for my liking. We have many positive signs thanks to the new front office, but I wouldn't go out of my way to anoint Jerry Hughes as a "stud." Agree on Carpenter, he's been great. Kiko, too.
  18. Are you talking about the play where Keuchly blatantly grabbed him for no reason, or another one? I think Stevie is amazingly crafty, but the Carolina play was kinda dumb on the part of their "stud" LB.
  19. No penalty. The hit wasn't even close to being dirty. The one thing the NFL has done well, and clearly defined, is that when a QB decides to run they are fair game like any other ball carrier.
  20. I consider them in the lower half of the league, but with a lot of room to rise. Already, we've seen Woods become a serviceable NFL player. He's got tremendous upside and seems to "get" what being a pro is about. But aside from him and Stevie, we're comically thin. We hope Goodwin can blossom into a threat. TJ Graham shows glimpses...very, very rare glimpses. I think we'd all like to see more opportunities for Easley, but there's something there the coaches don't seem to like. Chris Hogan is ahead of him on the depth chart, that says a lot to me.
  21. That's really bad business though. In an imaginary world that might be OK, but sitting on an asset in spite is not the way to get your team back into the playoffs.
  22. How do you know this? He hasn't played a down this season, we have no idea of the impact he could have made.
  23. He wanted to play last night. It was a coaches decision. Most likely Marrone opting to have him closer to full-go with a few extra days rest for Cincy. I would've loved to see him, but I agree with Marrone's call. The only bad play he made last night was the late hit. But then again, we've finally got a safety who plays on the edge. Something many on here have been wanting for years.
