  1. You're 100% right. You can and should state your opinion. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess his reaction stemmed from you wishing career-ending injuries to him. Just a guess.
  2. Nope. I don't think he'll much more than what the Bills offered. Joe Buscaglia just said the offer probably raised eyebrows throughout the league. If he thinks he's getting much more, I think he'll be surprised. It won't be the first time an agent over-valued his client. Does it mean he's not gonna get a great deal? No. I just don't see a 60 Million offer like some are suggesting.
  3. I think you'll be surprised. I just don't see the mega-offer Byrd is expecting to materialize.
  4. Yes indeed. Buffalo's inferiority complex really kicks into overdrive when a) there's a lack of highlights on Sportscenter after a Bill victory and b) when free agency kicks off.
  5. Really? So if Buffalo's offer has $4 million more in guaranteed money, Byrd doesn't reconsider? Give me a break, this is all about money.
  6. This will be a interesting thread to look back on if the Bills end up resigning Byrd when he tests the market. Lots of mean-spirited stuff being said.
  7. Hopefully this is when Brandon would use his executive authority and can those corncobs. But I envision Littman and Overdorf having get-out-of-jail cards they'll pull out at the last second negating any attempt to remove them.
  8. You're correct. I just fail to believe that the care these guys are getting are decades behind the times. I could be wrong. But like I mentioned before, the Sabres injury numbers didn't curtail overnight with the introduction of all their new training methods and equipment. I'm just envisioning Carpenter being the fall guy for the likes of Littman and Overdorf and I don't like that one bit. I suppose my argument has more to do with this.
  9. I'll definitely give you the Suns. Case in point, Steve Nash. As for Philly, of course the players will react differently for the new methods being introduced. Why criticize the ways of an ambitious, new coach. But wouldn't anyone be in better condition w/o Reid's Taco Tuesdays and pizza days. I'll admit, I have no numbers to back up my assumption. And it's merely just that. But after pursuing other team's message boards throughout the years, this situation/discussion is not native to the Bills by any means.
  10. I don't think it matters if you have an old school trainer or a a cutting-edge training staff & equipment, when you have 200-300lb freakishly agile athletes hitting each other at high speeds, injuries are bound to happen. Nagging injuries are bound to happen as well. I believe it was the year Pegula installed all those hyperbolic chambers and crap that the Sabres set some sort of record for man-games missed.
  11. Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Can't tell if I should bite or not. Sarcasm here?
  12. Creating a hole, when we have others to fill is not how we return to the playoffs. Good teams can use this strategy, but we're no there yet.
  13. I don't necessarily like that plan of action. It basically amounts to getting rid of our best WR and our D's best situational pass-rusher for another rookie WR. I truly believe we're an average season of QB play away from making it to the playoffs. Stevie divide's opinion, but I want some experience on that side of the ball. Adding another rookie to the mix isn't helping EJ take us to the next level. Scenario 1 isn't that bad considering his play has been "house money" when you think of it. Shep was gonna be off the team in another year anyhow. I don't think we would ever open the bank for him, so another season of 7-10 sacks is a great return on the investment, and worth more than a mid-round pick IMO.
  14. Yup, that's why I think he should be pissed at the risk of losing out 4.5 million if tagged as a TE.
  15. Lot's of money at stake... Would you let 4+ mil go?
  16. No, I'm just really interested to know what the gay oriented apparel at Nike is.
  17. I can respect your opinion even if I don't agree...but Really? Starbucks? At 6am in the morning, I don't think anyone wants a hologram of a football player on their travel mug. And what is this "gay" oriented apparel Nike has launched. The bright, neon reflective stuff for runners so they don't get ran over by automobiles? You may be over thinking this.
  18. It is indeed. Schwartz's MO is stopping the run, so if we're not blitzing as much we'll need as many "pure" rushers who can get after the QB in base packages. He's cheap too.
  19. So it can only get better, right? Schwartz has nothing to do with this. Can't blame him.
  20. Our DBs will be a huge upgrade with what he's worked with in the past. Gotta think he'll be a huge proponent in wanting to keep Byrd.
  21. His D lost Avril and always had horrible DBs. I think he can be successful with the talent here. His "rah-rah" attitude should be more of a fit on the coordinator level rather than the HC.
  22. 1) What would you expect? 2) Agreed.
