  1. This made me laugh. I never do this either... Also, it's not that I "feel sorry" for him. Rather, it's an attempt to explain a stupid choice he made. You strike me as someone who might laugh at people who claim they are depressed. You wouldn't prescribe a pill or therapy, rather a kick in the ass and and a suck it up.
  2. You shouldn't apologize for making excuses. The man is one of our most talented players on the verge of becoming one of the best in the game. He's at a juncture in his life where he needs to be careful because no one would like to see him NOT maximize his talents. People like to view athletes as machines, and don't like to hear it when someone stands up for a guy "playing a game." I call BS on that, everyone has problems. Hopefully the Bills extend an olive branch to him and offer some help.
  3. Nice. Bills are looking more attractive to be on Hard Knocks now, huh HBO?
  4. I'm not doubting his finances. By all means, he seems wholly capable. Just stating that he wouldn't need to be fully liquid in order to be considered. Here's hoping Mary likes him!
  5. Agree about the league wanting a guys w/o a ton of debt, but by no means does TP need a liquid 1 billion to buy the team.
  6. Are there reports of Mary Wilson being stupid? I agree she'll most likely "pick" the party to whom she feels most comfortable with, but she's not leaving 400mil on the table. Either way, this is good news all around.
  7. Yeah. Props to her for her insider trading and spending time in the clink.
  8. Totally agree. HBO does it right, and having the Bills on it would only make it better.
  9. I love Stevie, but the one that really pissed me off was the NE game home opener this year. I usually disagree with guys who say he should catch everything, but that was a simple throw and showed a lack of concentration on his part.
  10. Crabtree is average, haven't you heard?
  11. Hey, one of those drops got us Dareus. If EJ is legit this year, and the Bills are making noise and Stevie makes some knucklehead plays, then I'll call for his head. But singling him out for drops is like calling the guy at the end of the bar the biggest drunk. Maybe it's just the company.
  12. Honestly, if the Bills took Carr at 9, it would seem quite clear that said substances were involved.
  13. Agreed. The stadium turns a shade orange when Cleveland comes to town. Good fans for the most part too. Maybe the front office still feels bad about that 6-3 shootout a few years back.
  14. This sucks, I was hoping he fell to 9. I was excited for a training camp battle between him and EJ. No reason to go to Fisher this summer, I suppose.
  15. Totally agree. Would like another TE or WR to throw into the mix…but…all this goes for naught if EJ doesn't progress.
  16. Philosophically. It's a chicken/egg type scenario. What do you build first... You can have the greatest line in the history of the NFL and have have a no playmakers or a weak QB and you're not winning crap.
  17. Questionable. I agree. And not be beat a dead horse, but a good QB solves any line problems too.
  18. Maybe, probably. But by extending him now for a more reasonable deal its a win-win.
  19. That's a great question. Question is, was a RT worth as much 10, 15, 20 yrs ago as it is today? If Matthews is the pick, hopefully the pressure to slide him over to the left doesn't create a problem with Cordy. I'd like to see him extended ASAP regardless what side of the line he might play. Guards are getting crazy money nowadays, no reason a team can't reward a RT if need be (this is assuming Matthews was the pick, and Cordy got moved. Lots of assumptions here).
  20. I'm of the belief that getting EJ as many weapons as possible is the way to go. I don't want to be the guy in two years that says "if only EJ had more talent to throw to maybe he could of been good." I want to surround him with weapons and see if he's the guy now. An elite TE or big-time WR will help mask a lot of those accuracy problems he might have.
  21. One of the many reasons I like him. He's always been a Bills-Backer. It's a toss up in my book between Rome and Patrick. Both guys are the best interviewers in the business IMO. I've always liked Rome too given that he's big-time but will still bring on hockey guys and cater to smaller markets like Buffalo.
