  1. Mary Wilson doesn't strike me as one to watch too much ESPN. Don't think Jaws or whatever PR team JBJ has allegedly inserted within the ESPN ranks will influence her at all.
  2. I think the media has over-hyped Henderson. The guy is gonna need some time, probably a season or two before we ever see if he's going to regain his "form."
  3. I'll take Jaws any day over Stephen A Smith or Skip Bayless (assuming this is the other "clown" you are referring to). He turns into a fan boy, no doubt, but he's still as good as anyone breaking down tape from actual game footage. Classic case of letting an analyst have too much air time and watching him turn into a on-air columnist/talking-head.
  4. I could care less whether you like hockey or not. But your reasoning that they aren't athletes is weak i.e. rating are weak so they suck? Last time I checked, there were two European teams holding two out of the three medals at the last Olympics so your geography argument is kaput.
  5. Probably a true statement. I was thinking he needs to go 20 and 10. It'll be interesting.
  6. When he pancakes Brady and plays like a pro-bowler, something tells me you'll be rooting for him.
  7. Yeah, pretty much agree on all points. The Sabres are in the midst of a comprehensive overhaul/rebuild that just might solidify the roster as a serious contender for 10 years. With that said, I can't wait for some training camp story lines.
  8. Good point. I just can't see an NFL team ever really gaining traction in London, let alone England for that matter. In London alone, you have Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Fulham (since relegated), Crystal Palace and QPR in the Premier League alone. Plus, countless smaller clubs that still pull 15,000-20,000 in attendance on game days. I can't see it being anything more than a novelty, but I'm sure the evidence supports otherwise.
  9. Probably best Pho in city. Fair enough. B & B isn't bad, I just think the dry aged beef at Max and Tournedos is better.
  10. You ever been to Tournedos or Max Chophouse for that matter? Quality of meat is much better IMO.
  11. Believe it or not, the maximum amount an NFL agent can take from a client's contract is "only" 0.03%. Three percent on 12 mil is still $360K. Not too shabby.
  12. Best breakfast in the City by far. It seems like I'm gone every other weekend in the Summer, but whenever I'm home we go out for breakfast here. I will probably die before 50 because of this. Also agree that Dogtown has one of, if the not best plate around.
  13. You don't mortgage the draft and take the best WR prospect in 5yrs to have him sit on the pine. Expect Sammy early and often this year. That is if EJ can get him the ball in positions for the youngster to make plays.
  14. Interesting. But with the exception of Levitre (and maybe a 1/2 season of Urbik), he's had crap lining up next to him his entire career as a Bill. I think it's very telling that many head coaches (off the top of my head Belichick and Rex) and other scouts/coaches all say he is one of the most underrated at his position.
  15. Ahhhhh, not anymore thanks to the ever increasing long reach of our friend Danny Wegman. I always offer to bring it down to my brother in Maryland on visits and he has to remind me that Wegmans carries it.
  16. That was a well-done documentary. I forget how cool Talley was/is.
  17. I can't think of a more painful thing than watching this year's version of the Sabres followed by an early wake-up call on Sunday for a day at the Ralph. With that said, I'm penciling in the October 12/13 double-header so I can hopefully watch Kiko slam Tommy into the turf 2 or 3 times. Go Bills! (and Sabres...)
  18. Good point. I thought about this too. Makes him more attractive though with the influx of cash on hand.
  19. Or...they factor in the $400 million into the total purchase price (and whatever relocation fees) and assess its worth in a market like Toronto i.e. a lot more. Now I don't think this will happen, and thankfully NFL franchises aren't appreciating like NBA ones are given the lack of an overseas market, but it's still something to digest when calculating what an out-of-town bidder might be thinking.
  20. Nothing to see here. He's talking about the weather in the off-season. With the exception of about a half dozen cities, nearly all players go and live at "home" after the season is done. And he's right, it was freaking cold in WNY this past year.
  21. Dude, stop talking about positive developments for the team....We all know ESPN has a secret agenda to hate on the Bills. And you're right. Big-time over-reaction here.
  22. Ahhhh, the old "by default" argument. Same thought process many use on here who also maintain the Pro Bowl is "overrated."
  23. Not to mention there is a gigantic overseas streaming deal about to be closed for the NBA. No concrete numbers yet, but Cuban has suggested the recent sales (Bucks) and future sales would all take tho into account. NBA kicks butt globally, the NFL is only king in the US.
