  1. Yeah, I agree their WR may give us fits if we can't pressure Cutler. Luckily, I think we will. And hopefully Duke decapitates Bennett so he's a non-factor, too. If we can take Forte out of the game, making Jay toss it 35 times might be the key. All the Bills fans clamoring for the Pettine-style blitzes should hope for a more subdued approach. I don't want out LBs and safeties leaving Forte open in the flats too often.
  2. I'm a firm believer that eliminating beer pong from the parking lots will help deter/eliminate the dbags from attending games. It's really that simple. Plus, all the turds from the 18-26 years old crowd who have never seen a winning product can now stay home and play their games and get belligerent in private. The devil is in them cups. The devil I say.
  3. I've never really considered the Bears teams of recent years a 'smash-mouth' team. I think the Bears will wanna toss the ball around wither their big WRs and hit Forte with a lot of screens and dump-offs underneath. This is some in-depth analysis. Very well thought-out. Hehe. I was thinking a around +6 as well.
  4. For the record, I don't want Spiller going anywhere. But I've got complete faith in Whaley, something I haven't said about our FO for a long time. If he's gonna move him, chances are he knows the cost of re-signing him are low.
  5. Indeed, it's actually the purpose of the "Little Dig." Getting rid of those ramps will be nice, but it's building his own underground tunnel that made him sign off.
  6. Me thinks Terry would love/already signed off on this plan.
  7. Or Brady plans on playing for another 5yrs, which I believe to be the case. People love to rail on him, but the dude is the ultimate competitor who loves the game. IMO, as long as Brady plays, the Hoodie will coach, too.
  8. I criticize so many players for being "pre-packaged" products at the combine and such, but holy hell, if there ever was someone who needed some coaching it was him. I truly believe his pre-draft process cost him two rounds.
  9. down by Amukamara? It's my belief that Watkins, who faced very few top CBs in college is going to struggle more than anyone here wants to let on. My point is not that he'll suck or anything, but I think that the expectations on both him as rookie as well as what he'll do for the team are both unreasonable. Really?
  10. I hope there's a heavy dose of play-action calls this year, because that is one area in which EJ not only looked comfortable, but excelled in. Hopefully with our running attack, this comes to fruition.
  11. On the contrary, most people think he has a very high "football IQ." One of the first compliments generally paid his way is how intelligent he is. Overall, I see your point, and I think you're dead on with his mechanical inconsistencies. But I think the silver lining is that these can be corrected with good coaching. He had no QB coach his rookie year, so I seriously question how much time he spent going through QB specific drills. One thing I noticed in the game was how quick his back-drop was. Minor, I know. But it leads me to think that some of these mechanical issues were addressed. Lets hope so!!!
  12. It's a great question. Same with Florida or Alabama. It seems that a lot of these teams that have the most recruiting power don't chase the best QBs and instead fill out their rosters w/ 5 star recruits.
  13. No, but it does provide context and inject some sorely needed perspective into this debate.
  14. Yet he won in college (amazingly recruited I might add, given the deficiencies that have plagued him since middle school as you suggest).
  15. EJ went 16/21 w/ a TD in his first pre-season game last year. I know it's in the DNA for 90% of Bills fans (and god-given right) to irrationally B word and moan after the first "pre-pre-season" game of the year, but he threw seven passes last night. Seven. Not sure I'm willing to compare his two series of below-average QB play last night to the previous 13 years of failure.
  16. Just imagine how good we'll be when Leodis and Gilmore are actually playing... Liked his game last night for the most part. D-line was as advertised.
  17. Check the contract, it's structured like Kaepernicks I believe. Not a lot of risk going forward for the Bengals. Still agree, though. Impressive "numbers" for a questionable talent.
  18. Dropped it in between coverage too. If Sammy gets to it-- and the ball was perfectly thrown in stride-- he's in for six. Didn't see Sammy's route but he didn't look like he was full speed. I've got no problem with EJ on this one. Nice throw.
  19. Henderson has gone from "stash him on the practice squad" to a roster player. He's not close to, "let's cut Cordy cause he'll cost money" yet.
  20. Not to mention, JoeB said he was one of the few guys he's seen in practice and games get vocal with guys.
  21. When an ostrich puts his head in the sand, does he disappear? I doubt the league forgot about his transgressions because he skipped the White House.
  22. Josh Reed had a great second year I think and then he dropped the flea flicker from Bledsoe. He seemed to have a case of the drops after that which I think became a mental thing. Once it starts happening and you hear the whispers you start over-thinking everything and not playing naturally. Great WRs pluck the ball while not breaking stride. I seem to always remember TJ jumping when he catches the ball so he can use his body, thus, losing all momentum.
  23. Pretty much sums it up for me. Hogan and Easley also have a pretty remarkable handshake/celebration thing that is quite awesome I might add. And….Graham kinda stinks, too. So there's that to consider. I could look past his below-average route running and lack of football instincts, but the deal breaker is that he possesses the worst set of hands we've seen from a Bills WR for some time. Kind of a requirement for the job.
  24. Bingo. And you know what really helps (and Tasker alludes to this in the interview), a collection of all-time great talents on the same team.
  25. There's a few WRs that are firmly on the roster bubble. No harm in giving the other guys a chance to shine.
