  1. I think Jerry is gone. Anything over 10 mil per and it's not beneficial to the long-term health of the salary cap. With the other three on the line, I've got to think there's someone for half that out there that can provide good value and production. It'll be interesting to see how it shakes out. I'm curious to what his agent sees his value is compared to what teams will be willing to offer.
  2. When in doubt. Always lead with fart jokes or boobies.
  3. No doubt about Washington. Sh@t runs downhill, that's for sure.
  4. LB is starting to be devalued like RB. This is good for the Bills as most of our D-money should be tied up in our dline.
  5. Are you equating being pissed about losing your starting job to walking out on your contract in the 11th hour?
  6. Maybe he didn't? Wasn't like Marrone was working wonders with that unit. And if he did get pissed off, who cares? And if Marrone held a grudge against him for that, maybe these rumors of petty vindictiveness hold some weight.
  7. Didn't he lose it to Pears first , then Richardson? With Williams' contract, seemed like he was slotted all along. And damn, he was right to throw a temper tantrum if Pears and Richardson got the nod ahead of him.
  8. I do! Sign me up! We said that in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. We'll all say it again next year and the year after, too. You got all that out of 2 quarters with his backups against our #1 D? Please.
  9. He got so much fatter too! But seriously, Urbik's tweet kind of said it all. Guy was benched for a rookie way in over his head. There was something there behind the scenes IMO for sure.
  10. Has Jimmy Sext... I mean Mojo returned yet today?
  11. I've never heard ex coaches/GMs that have turned into talking-heads belittle another head coach. It's a small fraternity that is more than willing to prop up their buddies. Remember, they've all had to deal with the "mean ole media" from time to time...Life's hard making 4 million a year and then having to listen to the meanies on the radio question your candidacy as a head coach... And yes, there's been many un-named sources that have been mentioned in these articles that want to know Marrone is being treated as royalty. Take issue with the "un-named source" part, but nobody in the NFL world goes on record anymore to critique one of their buddies. I'm capitulating to the "Doug's got friends in high places" line. His minions have infiltrated TBD.
  12. Two syllables man. Oak-land. To me, that's his defining legacy.
  13. The only credit I'll give Marrone is that he stayed out of the way of Schwartz. Funny how everything else he touched turned to sh. And Marrone didn't "build" that defense like you said. Whaley constucted it, Marrone simply inherited it.
  14. It appears like they wanted Polian, and had to wait for him to remove himself from prior commitments. The Jets hired 2 guys and that glorious brain-trust has led them to target Doug Marrone as their number 1 target. Hmmmmmm. And if they're reacting a bit, it's probably because they didn't think their coach was gonna be a big bit#% and pull the cord on his golden parachute in the 11th hour. Can't really fault them for that.
  15. My favorite comment was "you were once a promising NBA writer, banished to Buffalo to cover the Bills and Sabres." Ha. Half-seriously, I kinda wish Terry had a little bit of Dan Snyder's petulance in him and decided to buy the BN. I wouldn't want him to fire Jerry, just be his boss and eventually force him to resign.
  16. I like these points, but I have a hard time wrapping my head around #2. Does he or anyone on the board here really think we were going to nab our franchise QB at 19? The media has made a big stink about this being a reason, but any QBs worth a first rounder will be long gone by the time we were going to pick.
  17. Agreed. And that's equal parts smart and equal parts ckicken-sh@# in my book.
  18. True. But I generally prescribe to the notion that jobs within sports aren't like "real jobs" in the "real world." I'm probably in the minority on this, but I expect a certain level of loyalty from coaches and management.
  19. Sammy's a bust. Rex is a high school coach. What's your opinion on Doug Legursky? All-Pro?
