Fitz bought himself a couple more starts. Our 2 wins are against teams a combined 1-5, and should be 0-6-We havent betaen anyone yet. It is on Fitz now without Freddie and CJ...If he can get 2 wins in next 4 games-which will be tough, he will probably finish the season, but I wouldnt be shocked to see him fall apart...lose then next 4, and see Tavaris Jackson in there for second half of season either.

That was a fumble...It came out when his arm was cocking back, not coming forward. This guy is simply not very good. The stats don't tell the whole story. Fantasy wise he looks pretty damn good right now, and it was another win. Fitz has bought himself a few more weeks, and can make a statement next week with a solid performance and a "W"

I think Sanchez played a great game because of the heat he was feeling with Tebow breathing down his neck. He had to come out strong and shut down any thoughts of Tebow chants... We were also outcoached.... We were expecting more wildcats , Tebow, and running attack (as they had killed us on the ground in the past) Rex went the other way and threw the ball. Sanchez was on his game. Throw in turnovers and special teams mistakes and Jets kill us. I still think Fitz is a sub par QB and last season was an illusion. We need a better qb-without one you can only go so far nowadays. If we lose to Cleveland and NE due to bad QB play-Fitz will be history and Tavaris will come in thru seasons end.

music city mistake poll
BuffaloWest replied to olivier in france's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One BIG thing you are forgetting about here is that Wade Phillips left too much time on the clock too. I remember watching it thinking..Titans are going to get the ball back. I didnt expect a return kick off, but I figured they would have time for at least a play. He could have run more time off the clock before he kicked the Bills final FG and Titans would have never seen the ball again...This play could have been avoided. -
I'm sick of living in the past.

I hear ya man! It is like having a loser kid, you know you love them and stand by them no matter what , but they drive you nuts because they should be so much better, yet every year they just let you down. When is the film coming out by the way? I knew Phil Gangi back at Canisius HS in the 80s...we used to get baked!Didnt know he was a film guy... -
[closed]One Year Stadium Lease Extension
BuffaloWest replied to buffalopdc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oddly Two Bills Drive has removed/buried anything pertaining to this story- THIS IS THE BIGGEST BILLS STORY OF THE DAY! Link on Buffalo News doesnt even connect. If we cant have a conversation on this, why have this forum? -
http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/redskins/buffalo-bills-ceo-brandon-says-stadium-lease-negotiations-have-stalled-with-state-and-county/2012/09/12/1cac020c-fcdf-11e1-98c6-ec0a0a93f8eb_story.html Most comprhensive up to date story here from Washington Post. Why has Two Bills drive buried / removed all threads pertaining to lease speculation? Why doesnt link connect to story in Buffalo News? WTF? This shoul dall be open to discussion or speculation-Otherwise-Why a forum. Somethings up, not right .....

Not to Add Fuel to the Fire This Week but.....
BuffaloWest replied to BRAWNDO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is a story listed at top of Two Bills Drive regarding the Bills lease. Mysteriously the live link is no longer there as it was pulled . However I read it. The long and short is this: * Negotiations NEVER happened between Bills and Gov. Cuomo that were necessary prior to an October 16th meeting in NYC to get help from NFL G4 fund (up to $40 Million in help) * 3 scheduled meetings that would have facilitated things were cancelled and now we cannot apply for G4 funding until next year-March 2013 * No improvements will begin on the stadium now until at the earliest- 2014 * They may have to do a one year lease from July 2013 to July 2014 to extend talks about a long term lease How the hell did the ball get dropped here? This is IMPORTANT! Why was it dropped? Who dropped it? - Someone is benefitting, or strengthening their bargaining and negotiating position and I assume it is intentional. Does anyone feel good about extending lease talks with a 94 year owner over an extended two year period when we all know that if he dies, the team can be sold and uprooted the same damn day with no lease in place? The value of the franchise has to go up with no lease fees, penalties if broken..team can be moved scott free Was this ALWAYS really the plan...to stall until Wilson is dead? Do you trust Russ Brandon at all? He seems like the ultimate ultimate weasel. Why was this story removed from the Buffalo News? Cover up? Something is going on here and it doesnt look good at all. This franchise in Buffalo is in a very DANGEROUS situation that could have been avoided WTF i sgoing on here? We deserve answers as taxpayers/fans etc. Be intersting to see if WGR covers it...They are in bed with Bills too..Seems like no one ever digs deep to get answers in Buffalo tv , print or radio journalism...Something is going on and needs to be exposed... -
Fitz looks just like Losman and Ewards before him right now ...the confidence is gone-you can see it in his eyes- He is defeated. I know why it happened with Losam and Edwards-They would get murdered because they had no protection...Oddly Fitz does have protection, but he just isnt any good....15 wins vs 33 losses says it all, 1-9 in last 10 games says it all..These guys at age 28 dont suddenly turn it on and go 33 and 15. It aint happening! Sorry I know it sucks, but we wont beat KC or Cleveland and definetely not NE or SF...Like Jauron, we were once again duped into signing someone who looked the part but Fitz is really a chump-Prepare Tavaris Jackson for Week 5 and beyond and turn the page on Fitz-He finished.
-
I thought we were a different team too. We are soft. We have been soft for YEARS. Yesterday was no different than Jauron and Edwards, Jauron and Losman and so on. Gailey is not a winner-Never has been. he is 10 and 24 as our coach. Fitzpatrick is not an NFL calber QB-He lead the league in interceptions last season and is 1 and 9 in his past 10 games. That is deplorable..You dont get to keep your job under these circumstances. Right now, The Bills are THE WORST team in the league. Cleveland and Jacksonville are already celebrating W's on their schedules. KC is a much better team than us. Sadly it is not too early to begin planning on firing Fitz and Gailey-They simply arent any good.
-
Yesterday was like a time warp to 2007-2008... A completely inept team, incapable of producing an NFL caliber product...You could easily swap out Gailey For Jauron and Fitz for Edwards, Losman, Holcombe, Collins, Van Pelt or any other loser we have seen stroll through here. Yesterday said it all...Gailey and Fitzpatrick will NEVER be winners here. They are an embarassment to the sport, the league and the city of Buffalo and do not belong in the NFL. You can say it is only one game, but this is not a good football team. There may be talent there, but the leadership is not. In fact they may be the worst team in the league. Damnit we deserve better than this!

Assuming that Fitz continues to suck (No reason to believe he'll get better-He is 1-9 in last ten starts) I believe you give him the next 3 games, and plan on pulling the plug after New England and inserting Tavaris Jackson for remaining 12 games to see if he has anything and can get us on track. This guy is killing us. He is never going be a good QB...You dont just turn it on at age 28 after losing 9 out of 10 games...In Modern NFL, you cannot keep your job with those numbers...Yesterday said it all...Fitz is Edwards, Losman, Holcomb, Collins-he is not a winner-Never will be.....We got duped-Just like with Jauron. This team is a 6-10 team at best...If they are smart they will tank and get the first pick so we dont have to give up years of draft picks to move up and get Barkley. We arent making playoffs anyways. This is going to be a long painful season....Gailey isnt a winner either-Never has been. Let's plan on moving on here...

It appears that the Bills have mended fences with Polian. I believe he is going up on The Wall Of Fame this season... I think The Bills better begin working on a gameplan here moving forward because a coach who is 10-24, and a QB who is 1-9 in the last ten games simply will never get going in the modern NFL-This is not going to work out- It just isnt-These guys are simply not winners-never have been....We are pretty much stuck for the season with what we have , and it looks like 6-10 again this year. Get Polian on board covertly right now as a consultant (Like Parcells has been used) and begin recruiting a new coach for next year (Dungy?) and making plans for drafting a QB in round 1. never too early to start planning...

In defense of the roided out Pauly D wannabe Jets fan...She hit him, and she does sort of look like a dude. That B word is ugly..and who buys a David Nelson shirt by the way?-Didnt know they even made them...Anyways Jets fans are tools, so are Patriots, Raiders, Niners, Chargers and many Bills-The list goes on and on.

Forbes Magazine - Bills Most Troubled Franchise in the NFL
BuffaloWest replied to Booger's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dont forget the Chargers....They have a total crap stadium , a team on the decline, blackouts looming and almots a ZERO chance to get a new stadium built...Oh yeah, and what about Tampa Bay-Already blacked out in week one, and Cinci who didnt sell out one game last year...F this guy, just another hack looking to make waves because he is a nobody. -
Every day the guy remains on the roster it is a reminder that he was a bad pick, a reach and a bust. When he is gone, we will barely remember that we could have had a hometown hero in Gronkowski. Hands down, Nix worst pick as GM was Troupe over Gronk. Time to turn the page.....

Bills fan makes ESPN Hall of Fan Top 10, needs our votes
BuffaloWest replied to Juice_32's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel for this guy. I voted for him...how can you not vote for a Bills fan (especially from out of state)..However, it is in pretty poor tatse to replicate the Bronco that OJ Simpson fled in after he chopped a guys head off. That is pretty lame. Simpson is taboo (and I have a ton of OJ paraphanelia-I just keep it in a box and don't celebrate the guy) Get a Thurman or Beebe shirt for god's sakes...Also, the story about the drunk driver...The guy was stupid/drunk enough to get into a car with a drunk driver after being at a bar ...Not like he was coming home from the grocery store and got blindsided by some drunk. he was drunk too and jumped into a car with his buddy who crashed...Unlikely he wins. -
Ralph IS a great man for many reasons...he will become an icon for all-times, a Buffalo legend for eternity if he has secretly planned on doing the right thing-A succession plan that will keep the team in Buffalo forever upon his departure...Now if he was reckless, and thougtless about what happens to the team after he leaves us, and they ever up and leave...Then unfortuantely, he will become Art Modell X 100...he will be blasted forever in WNY and probably burned in effigy...If he keeps the team where they belong...We must honor him with a giant bronze statue somewhere where it can be admired for all times!Stories of this great man will be passed down from father to son, and he will be remembered forever!

Patriots sign TE Visanthe Shiancoe
BuffaloWest replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not true..He did catch 56 balls and 11 TDs with Favre, but he has been pretty steady throughout his career...In Minnesota the past couple of years it has been a mess at QB and his numbers dropped. He's pretty good. We could have used another TE....We know we have one decent one, but that is it.... -
Former WR Josh Reed Slams Buffalo
BuffaloWest replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The guy played on some pretty bad teams so he is bitter. He was a bust-no doubt..he contributed very little-However, he should be a bit more polite I guess, especially considering The Bils gave him a lot of money and at least two years on the roster he didnt deserve. He went to San Diego after Buffalo released him, and that lasted about two pre-season games before San Diego released him too...No one will ever remember Josh Reed because he never did anything, and no one will see this article because no one knows who is he is, and no one cares....So neither should we! -
ESPN created the way in which around the clock sports news is delivered..Berman is one of the original guys from the era...Oberman , Dan Patrick etc...At one time it was fresh, innovative and funny...Its' hey day was the 90's-Some of the "This is Sportscenter" pieces were great , but now it is all tired , old and just played out. Time for them to re-think the whole model before it becomes obsolete. I do like Berman as the elder spokesman for ESPN-He is actually very bright and insightful when he is asking and answering questions, and delivering a straight forward, semi-serious broadcast...And you HAVE TO appreciate his love of The Bills during the darkest of days...

Ex-Eagles Pres. Seeking Bills Ownership
BuffaloWest replied to SKRAAPY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OJ's Birthday is today...He is 65. Imagine if he had "remained" a stand up, likeable guy? You could almost see him wanting involvement in The Bills, ...Wait -forget it he would probably be the first to try to move The Bils out West. -
Trent Edwards the Eagle
BuffaloWest replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are wrong...He was never put in situation to where he could succeed. Jauron was the problem-worst coach EVER, followed by the o-line, and players around him on both sides of ball...You could virtually see Edwards confidenece sink from week to week. You'll never know if he or Losman could have been any good...They both sucked, and it is all ancient history now-so who cares, BUT-As in sports and in business and life-If you dont put your players (or yourself) in a position to be succesful-then they never will. -
I love Buffalo because it is STILL home...even though I have been gone since 1990. My best friends and coolest people I have known are Buffalonians. If you are from Buffalo, you are part of a fraternity for life. Everytime I return I feel "plugged in" to my roots, maybe it is because part of my heart is still in Buffalo, when I return I feel whole again-complete.I miss it there-a lot. Beyond That... * Bills games at Rich Stadium * 97 Rock * Anchor Bar and Big Tree Inn Wings * Chesnut Ridge & Gaslit Falls * Holiday Valley and Kissing Bridge * Orchard Park * Sabres Games
