  1. Never got flustered at the podium after what, six straight weeks of being asked about his future with the team? Shoot, the Bills should hire him as a PR coach for St. Doug the Lesser.
  2. NOBODY circles the wagons like old mediocre reporters in dead-end gigs!
  3. It's possible to critical of all involved here. The Bills for being ill-prepared (or not prepared at all) yesterday from a public relations standpoint, and our esteemed WNY sports media figures for continuing to be grizzled old cranks with axes to grind.
  4. Zero surprise at this. Say what you will about the man, he's good on camera.
  5. My experience is in radio, not print media, but as far as broadcasting goes, there is a clear drop-off in talent from a NYC, LA-type major market to a town like Buffalo. Nothing against WNY, it's just the nature of the biz.
  6. Third rate team, third rate media market. The crappy sports media actually annoys me more than the team's performance. The Bills clearly face clearly superior opponents all the time. Scope, Bullfrog, Sully, Vic, Buscaglioni, none of those guys have to write stories or deliver on-air content with a defense in their face. So what's their excuse for being such medium talents?
  7. Yeah, but at least it will inspire Joe Buscaglione to come up with a few more mediocre hashtags that won't catch on.
  8. Equally important is being skeptical of anything members of the media say.
  9. I'll admit this didn't seem to look to good. Whaley was ill-prepared for this presser. I am wary of dodgy executives. But I am even more wary of reporters just trying to generate heat for themselves on social media. Third-rate tactics all around, befitting a third-rate team and a third rate media market.
  10. Maybe... But torch and pitchfork futures are through the roof!
  11. Look what A. Lynn did to this team in five days. Extrapolate that over a whole year and we would have 292 turnovers. Burn it, Terry! Burn it all to the ground!
  12. So Tyrod is talking to the media after all? Is that good for the kool aid drinkers? Or the haterade drinkers? I'm so confused.
  13. "No, son, we don't own this place. We pay rent to the Giants. Also, we are huge douchenozzles."
  14. Lisa: [reading a poster] "'Nuke the Whales'?" Nelson: [shrugs] Gotta nuke somethin'.
  15. Maybe he isn't, but now I want him if it's going to piss off you and others who think like you.
  16. I'll admit, I don't care if we're a six seed and go get destroyed in KC or wherever the hell. I just want the playoff drought monkey off our backs. But then very quickly the conversation has to turn to how we get back, keep going back consistently, and eventually win the whole thing.
  17. Not to mention Belichick's disciples have a pretty sh#tty record once they get promoted out of New England. A. Lynn is smart and young. I'm sold. He could be our coach for 20 years. For the love of Pete, THIS. Pittsburgh is the very model of how a franchise should be run. One family has owned them forever. Four coaches in 50 years. Consistently good, and six rings to show for it.
  18. ac·count·a·bil·i·ty əˌkoun(t)əˈbilədē/ noun 1. the fact or condition of being accountable; responsibility. 2. a term thrown around on internet message boards with vague anger, often toward those with responsibilities beyond the scope and scale the typical denizen could even begin to wrap their heads around See also: "Relevant" and referring to "the media" as a singular entity.
  19. Or maybe they do have interest in keeping Tyrod and just want to see if EJ has learned anything. They're probably gonna have to cut bait with at least one of them.
  20. The only things Francesa has ever been dead on about are the heroin nods and falling asleep on air.
  21. Negative coverage > Lack of access > Negative coverage The wheel in the sky keeps on turning, whee!!
  22. Yeah, great example of an old dude who may have been out of touch, but at least nothing bad ever happened under his watch.
  23. Rex Ryan led the Jets to the AFC Championship twice in his first two years as head coach.
