  1. Why is anybody surprised that a message board hosted on a company's own dime didn't suffer criticism and ultimately shut down without notice? I can't believe that dumpster fire wasn't put out years ago.
  2. Not necessarily. Look, I'm not that old, but I'm old enough to remember the dial-up BBS days, message boards back before everybody and their brother had internet access. There was something nice about that, a tight knit and savvy group of people gathered online around a shared interest. Then broadband access in every home happened, everybody got online, and as things diluted, that niche feeling disappeared. One of the main things I liked about TSW was it still had a little bit of that old-school online vibe. Was it free from trolls and other malcontents? Certainly not. Am I the most well-behaved denizen here? Hell no. A good percentage of my contributions tend to be in the form of sarcasm. But at the end of the day, I knew this was a place I could come to read a lot of interesting content by smart people. Like a small gathering of like-minded buddies at a bar, shooting the sh*t. Now I fear it's headed more in the direction of the beer tent at a county fair. Still fun, but a lot noisier, and a lot more bad behavior. But that's what happens. Progress, right?
  3. New quality posters are always welcome, and it's obvious at least a few sharp cookies have come over. But BBMB was an elementary school dumpster fire in a lot of ways, and many of us stuck to this forum for that very reason. Jesus, the animated gifs, the signatures, the free-for-all dozens of threads on any given topic... I'm sure there was some quality content buried in there somewhere, but the place gave me a seizure. And I'll just say that my preference for TSW is mainly due to the efforts of SDS and company to run a tight ship. I think others share that assessment. It remains to be seen how the personality of TSW will be affected in the long term. Right now at the moment of transition, during the offseason, is probably not an accurate barometer. I'll choose to be cautiously optimistic.
  4. Patently untrue. I am also sensitive to my own opinions.
  5. You poor dear! You know what? You should ask for your money back!
  6. It's the result of the "everybody gets a trophy" mentality, and so they think their tiresome, rehashed take is Finally the One. They say they don't want to wade through "50 pages" in one thread, while the rest of us don't want to wade through 50 threads with such nuanced topics as: "CUT TYROD NOW!!!" "CUT TYROD TOMORROW!1!" "FOR ALL INTENSIVE PURPOSES HERES MY TAEK ON WHY WE SHOULDVE CUT TRYOD YESTERDAY!ELEVENTY!1"
  7. The rational? Well, it's typically any number that can be expressed as the quotient or fraction p/q of two integers, a numerator p and a non-zero denominator q.
  8. I'm with you. It's just the internet, and I don't know any of you people, so who really gives an F, but the things I strongly disliked about that other board I'm already seeing pop up here. The only thing I can hope for is SDS and his deputies running a tight ship, as they always have.
  9. Oh, that's a perfectly valid point, one made many times on this board. Which further underscores the utter lack of need for a new thread on the same topic.
  10. So the take here demanding a new thread is that: 1. Tyrod is not the guy. 2. The guy may be in the draft. 3.) But that guy may not make an immediate impact. 4.) So therefore keep drafting QBs until we find the guy. 5.) But in the meantime, cut Tyrod because he's not the guy, even though the guy is not immediately apparent. 6.) And there's no way we can continue with Tyrod while on a parallel track bringing up a drafted QB? Dazzling take, really well done.
  11. Fascinating. I thought QB was a settled issue for the Bills. Good thing we have all these new contributors.
  12. Lol. You just named one of the best features about this place. I had no idea BBMB had any such policy, that place was in such disarray in so many ways.
  13. And a three-year waiting period to be able to start new threads.
  14. Amen. Preach it. Mm-hmm. ...and then all the rest of this too. I ran from the BBMB to here for pretty much all the reasons covered above. If anyone can maintain some sense of quality and decorum, SDS, it's you.
  15. I migrated here after realizing TSW's average fifth grade reading level was better than the BB.com message boards average potato reading level.
  16. http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/02/fred_jackson_wants_to_play_in_2017_and_eventually_retire_with_buffalo_bills.html "If playing in 2017 isn't in the cards, Jackson wants to retire with the Bills. Jackson showed no ill will towards the Bills for releasing him in 2015 and talked about signing a one-day deal with Buffalo as the Bills Mafia made him who he is today."
