  1. Also great players rarely make good coaches, in any sport.
  2. I just hope SDS has found some way to take advantage of all the extra traffic because the quality is sure getting diluted.
  3. I won't apologize to you or anyone else. I know some of those guys over at BR, one of them I actually went to college with. Like them or not, they work hard to provide original content and insight. So to see their content lifted and pasted was particularly irksome, not only as a friend, but user of this board. It's not like the article wasn't attributed to them, but copying and pasting the entire thing instead just a snippet and linking to it drives down their web traffic and ad revenues. And again, it's just poor form on any online forum in general. Any halfway-savvy user of the internet should know this by now, and if not, get called out for it on any message board that prides itself on being run well.
  4. Oh, no, he's right. I am a douche. Just not a douche that pirates content.
  5. Copying and pasting into a message board the entirety of an article from another source instead of just a short preview and linking to the actual website is not only bad form, I'm pretty sure it's against the terms of service. I could be wrong about that, but most well-run forums don't allow wholesale copying of others' content. And it's still bad form anyway. The guys who run BR care about BR. And you just stole their content, meaning fewer clicks for them. So the other thread was looking for answers, and you started a new thread to provide the answers. That someone else wrote? Good job. You mean you found the Buffalo Rumblings article useful.
  6. A. There's already a cap thread. 2. You just copy-pasta'd someone else's content, offering none of your own. III. I'm sure the good folks at Buffalo Rumblings would be thrilled about that.
  7. Oh, snap! Blistering hot take! Let's take a look at OP's profile, shall we? wppete's Profile wppete's Photo My Information Group Members Active Posts 205 Member Since 02-March 17 Last Active Today, 01:39 AM Looks like he's one of yours, homeslice. Grab him on your way out, would ya?
  8. GUYS, GUYS, if we only carry 43 players on the roster this year it will TOTALLY pay dividends in 2018. I'm SO SICK of ST. DOUG getting PLAYED.
  9. Are they chanting "loose" or "Boo-urns"? Things have really losened up around here since March 2.
  10. And lo, here's another thread containing his name on social media, thus generating heat for him on the Googs. Who cares if he's right? He generates clicks and eyeballs, his bosses are happy. Sounds like we are the ones getting played.
  11. Terry Pegula drove the white Bronco. Aaron Maybin bought the drinks for the guy that fell off the third deck. Vampires are the world's greatest golfers, but their curse is that they can never prove it. Mario Williams can't beat Contra without the famous cheat code.
  12. Is Seattle's stupid sound-engineered parabolic fake noise stadium also windy? Will he be able to handle the swirling westerlies off the Lake they call Erie?
  13. And also allowed for the doomed Baby Gronk experiment to play out fully.
  14. I find myself on the fence on this topic. On one hand, they're adults, they can weigh the risks and make their own decisions. On the other hand, very often the need to start considering chemical enhancement begins pretty young, in college or before. So you have kids getting into it. It's a pretty sticky wicket. To the masses and casual fans who just wanted to watch Sammy and Mark hit dingers in the summer of 1998, yes. I would argue a significant percentage of hardcore baseball fans (I count myself among those) love the game either way and don't care about explosive offense. In fact I love good defense and low-scoring games, in general, no matter the sport.
  15. THANKS, MEAT, FOR YOU SEE I AM ILLITERATE AND ONLY POST BY USING TELEPATHY. SOMETIMES I FORGET TO PICK MY NOSE TO TURN OFF CAPS LOCK.
  16. FLUKER? I DON'T EVEN KNOW HER! #sorrynotsorry
  17. I do now understand what you are saying. Yeah, that's kinda weird. Anyway, I get the loving an online community and being bummed when it goes away without notice. And I get that a few threads and ample time for spleen-venting are necessary. It's still a huge influx of people talking about things many of us know nothing about. So it's been almost as weird for longtime TSWers as it has for former BBMBers.
  18. No, the ex girlfriend is BBMB. She ran off to Belize, snitched on Tony Soprano, whatever. Now there's a nice new girl, TSW, and the constant pining for BBMB and post-mortems on all the inconsiderate things she did starts weirding everyone out.
  19. More like whining about your ex-girlfriend at your new girlfriend's parents' dinner table.
