  1. Oh no. Rich guy donates money to a private school his kids go to. Someone do something. (Meh.)
  2. Hasn't the FO been very tight-lipped since McDermott and the new PR guy came on board? I'm even more wary than ever what a "source" says.
  3. ...and it looks like there was a similar lawsuit involving Manning and Steiner sports three years ago. Or is this the same lawsuit? https://www.google.com/amp/nypost.com/2014/01/30/eli-and-giants-created-fake-memorabilia-suit/amp/ If the authentication process just involves Steiner asking Manning "hey, these are legit, right?" I'm not sure I'd be willing to drop major bucks on any of that stuff. But apparently enough bridge-and-tunnel ham-and-eggers from Paramus fall for it to make the business so lucrative.
  4. The big-time memorabilia business seems shady as hell. I'm sure there's a lot more to this story.
  5. He never answered my question on Twitter after the MNF debacle in Seattle. I asked if referees were intentionally tanking in an attempt to leverage full-time employee status. Suffice it to say he couldn't take my heat, and is getting out of the kitchen.
  6. What's stupider, making up nicknames for coworkers or sending memos to Presidents of professional sports teams on message boards not even owned by the team?
  7. I've always had additional teams I pull for after my main favorites. For example, I grew up in a big Notre Dame family, and was a kid during Joe Montana's prime, so I've always had a soft spot for the Niners. But if the Niners and Bills play in the Super Bowl? It's Bills all day. I think the same is acceptable within the same league/conference too. Like in baseball, I'm a Jays fan first, foremost and always. But like the Niners when I was a kid, the Twins '87 WS team was the first WS I vividly remember, and they had a lot of great players, so I've always kind of liked the Twins too. The fact that my hometown Rochester Red Wings are now the Twins' farm club adds another element of interest there. I think fandom can absolutely be shades of grey, but at the same time, you must have your prime, unwavering favorite above all others.
  8. Well, I'm sure they're currently losing their minds on the message board for whatever juco Zamora's uncle played ball at.
  9. The better question is probably: If he WASN'T Jimbo's nephew, would he warrant a fraction of this heat on TSW?
  10. He finally got his rectal-cranial inversion treated?
  11. Isn't OL the hardest position group for rookies to pick up, because of the communication and teamwork necessary? I'm ok shying away from them in the draft. I think we are pretty solid on the line anyway.
  12. Believe it or not, he was the first UNC QB to start a game in the NFL. I was working at UNC when he was filling in for what's his name in Houston, and was surprised to learn that. Not that the school is a football factory or anything, but it still has a long history of turning out a few decent players.
  13. Fitzpatrick? Wasn't he the guy that kept his wedding ring ground up and in the freezer?
  14. The only thing hanging up the whole deal is a location for the Amerks since ownership rules also stipulate a minimum distance between parent clubs and affiliated minor league teams. If the Bills and Sabres move to Batavia, the current leading site for the Amerks is a frozen segment of the canal next to a lock just past Lyons.
  15. It's a local yokel Genesee County columnist talking about how cool it would be to have the Bills play in his backyard. The "talk" about it was three years ago from a stadium commission that had nothing to do with the Pegulas or any actual decision-makers. Move along, nothing to see here. ...except this thread, which is right at the top of the page when searching for the term "Batavia." http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/167774-batavia-possible-stadium-site/?hl=batavia
  16. Facebook is useful to me for one thing only these days: Private groups. I'm in one for my family and one for my fraternity buddies. It's an easy way to share pictures, plan events, and generally keep in touch. Otherwise I agree with most of the sentiment here, it's a huge waste of time and energy.
  17. Right. I can't believe a place for people to blast the organization, on the organization's dime, existed for as long as it did.
  18. If that place was "moderated" at all, it was using the loosest possible definition of the term. If BBMB was an animal, it would've been a cat chasing a laser beam while tweaking on low-grade biker crank.
  19. The Bills logo in those godawful colors makes we want to cry.
