  1. This might be my favorite reaction so far. After mulling it all afternoon, I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. Just hope and pray these guys know what they're doing.
  2. Why go after Anquan Boldin in the first place if the tank is on? Would he have been willing to come here had he known? Watkins I can almost understand getting rid of, but Darby? So many questions...
  3. The cynic in me thinks it was very smart of them to wait until literally the day after season ticket packages are no longer sold or renewed.
  4. I've been Ubering/Lyfting for several years while traveling for work to Philly, DC, NYC. In my experience A.) They don't know your destination until you get in the car. B.) If they accept the fare, they accept the fare and C.) They make good money on long drives. I once had to Uber from Washington to Baltimore in an emergency to catch a flight, and the guy had zero issue with it. $101 right now from downtown ROC to the Nerf. Honestly, split among 2-4 people, with nobody having to worry about a DUI? Worth it.
  5. I tried telling that to the guys behind us in the stadium chanting "TRUMP THAT B*TCH" most of last fall. Oddly, they weren't very receptive.
  6. Not I. I have brought my kids to preseason games. My only concern for the guy was running zone instead of man defense.
  7. I saw that too. Looked like a lot less heads whipping around pre-snap.
  8. We brought our two and six year olds to the kids day game last year. It was fine, but it was during the day. And we only drove an hour for it, not 6+. And there was two of us to handle them, not a single parent. I'm not going to tell you not to do it, but in the end, just think about if you're making memories for them yet, or not.
  9. I think that location kinda makes sense. I feel like 20A moves pretty quick now back toward 219 since they made it one-way after the games.
  10. Rodak's links get posted an awful lot with the "OMG THIS F'ING GUY READ THIS" narrative. Makes me think one of you people might be Rodak.
  11. Citation needed. I have ubered to and from sporting events and concerts elsewhere before ridesharing came to NY. Only time I noticed inflated prices were when a surge was on.
  12. I liked the comment about how if you've ever watched your team play in the postseason on a hi-def TV, kindly STFU. That's funny right there.
  13. It was actually aimed at my kids' dad. Yes, that's me. I'm like 85% certain.
  14. I agree, especially with how much McDermott likes to talk about the team as a "family" and the family atmosphere, and then how important Boldin's family was in his decision to come here. I've got two little ones who are between 5-10 years away from us being comfortable bringing them to a regular season game. It was kinda nice having an afternoon game in the summer with all the inflatables, cheaper concessions for the kids stuff, the hardcore boozebags kinda knew to either tone it down or not show up at all.
  15. I'm a WNY native and spent over a decade living in both New England and the South. By far, the most heinous, racist **** I've ever heard out of peoples' mouths has been in WNY. Maybe it gets thrown around too much as an accusation, but let's not pretend it doesn't exist.
  16. Hell, I've even been thinking about Ubering to and from the game from Rochester.
  17. I don't understand, why is there a paternity suit if they're "happily raising their beautiful daughter"?
  18. Yeah, I don't really follow him either. All I know is Bills fans hate him. But Bills fans will focus 17 years of futile ire on anybody that says boo.
  19. Listen, I don't disagree that he's got the smarmiest, most punchable face in cable television history. But I'm not going to hate on him for the normal course of doing his job.
  20. Well, you may hate him, but he loves you for generating heat on social media for him. He's probably wearing the coat for doing stand-ups on camera for ESPN. That's a common thing for tv news people, especially in sports. Formal up top, casual on the bottom, since the camera only shoots from the waist up. EDIT: Upon closer inspection, the back of his collar also looks like it has a wire coming up from the back of his jacket, probably part of an earpiece or microphone setup.
  21. Dropped cable four years ago when we moved back to WNY. Haven't looked back. Didn't need directv anymore since we either go to the Bills games or watch them over the air.
  22. I hope he does. He's one of those special players that are just fun as hell to watch. He's like a living cheat code.
