  1. Exiled BBMBers will continue to get sh*t no matter the format of the board. But srsly, I don't think this feature would be about "dividing" anyone, and I certainly don't think SDS or the mods would let that happen anyway. I'm envisioning it looking kinda like the current setup of sub-forums, but with users having much more say in the creation of those sub-forums. So, like in my example earlier in this thread, I could see a "Rochester Fans" club being useful. We can talk about where in town to go watch the games, best routes to/from Orchard Park from ROC (if you're not in a hurry post-game, 20A all the way to Warsaw and then up 19 is a gorgeous and relaxing drive in the fall), rendezvous points for carpools (my crew always uses the Home Depot parking lot off of 490/Buffalo Rd in Gates) and any other random things only ROC fans would care about, without cluttering up any main boards. So I see it as being a constructive way to have people gather around shared interests, and not a way to create "Elite Posters Only" clubs. EDIT: One other point, because I see the other thread on the message board migration has been locked. I would very much be in favor of purging inactive users, selfishly because I'd like to change my screen name to "jimmy." There is a "jimmy" on the roll, but he signed up 13 years ago and hasn't been active since.
  2. From skimming the link SDS provided, it looks like these "clubs" can have various levels of permissions and don't necessarily have to be exclusionary. As a season ticket holder in Rochester who tries to get to at least one road game per season, I could see a number of these "clubs" being useful for communication around a given sub-interest. Just for myself, clubs like "Rochester fans", "Rochester season ticket holders", "Bills road warriors", could all be useful. All you tailgating master chefs could trade recipes. The mods could have a private club to decide which one of us is next against the wall, etc, etc.
  3. I could see it being useful for posters to cluster by geography.
  4. I vote for keeping all the old content intact. It's funny to occasionally look back at old threads and with hindsight, some of the dumb/hilarious things people wrote (myself especially).
  5. You mean asking other Bills fans to steal content for you? Listen, I sometimes get annoyed by paywalls too, but don't come on to a popular forum that links that content and expect not to get blasted when asking for pirated material.
  6. If only someone had brought this up before. If only TBN staff came here to personally address all our concerns.
  7. He's not wrong. I chose to go to college in WNY and not a major city because I knew if I was in a big city at that age I probably would've been working on a drug habit instead of my GPA.
  8. If we win in Cincy, this is gonna be me in the lots before the Bucs game on 10/22.
  9. "Inside the team" could refer to literally anyone with access to the building. A communications intern. A janitor. Marcel Dareus. The sound of one fist clapping?
  10. I moved down South for almost a decade and then moved back to WNY. It ain't all it's cracked up to be down there.
  11. No, Andy Reid runs a chain of BBQ vocational schools. All the leaders of those schools have joined the Bills FO.
  12. I was at Busby's in Santa Monica for the game this past weekend while in town. A guy who looked to be in charge made a couple of announcements about the Chargers tailgate. It's definitely happening, but I didn't catch the details. I think their Facebook page has info.
  13. After ponying up thousands for PSLs. And I'm sure individual game seats are not cheap. What a load of PR horse pucky.
  14. Only thing better than a "told ya so" is a "pre-told ya so."
  15. That win yesterday yielded exactly zero compensatory picks. Therefore it was a big fat FAIL.
  16. Jacoby Brissett drinking earlier today explains things.
  17. But, but, Julio and the other guy... But, but, Tyrod's fantasy stats.... But, but, DOOOOMED!
  18. My buddy who is a Falcons season ticket holder explained it thusly: There are so many great bars and amenities and places to stand around watching the game that nobody actually goes to their seats.
  19. I really hope Stephon is enjoying all that well-deserved exposure.
