  1. Thanks man. I did do a search for users based in ROC and threw some invites out there based on some of the screen names I know. I guess I’m still trying to figure out how this club function can be useful. From what I can tell so far, I don’t get any notifications when someone posts or replies to a club topic. And the club information seems kind of buried, especially on mobile. I really like the idea and think it can be useful, but am still trying to wrap my head around how it fits into the whole ecosystem.
  2. I hope so. A boxing match looks like an athletic contest. A UFC fight looks like a felony is being committed. But I’ve always thought that boxing declined because of corruption and mismanagement, and the fact that there were multiple federations which made who was champion of what very confusing. I hope the NFL does not die, but in the back of my mind I wonder if it will if there isn't a major advance in player safety or neuroscience.
  3. I love that gif so much. He looks like me playing in the backyard while being double-covered by my 8- and 4-year old boys.
  4. I’m glad Zo’s perspective was included, and that he’s communicating it regularly to Tre. Being self-critical is good. Striving to be better is good. Letting your sense of imperfection consume you, however, can be bad. Good piece. Great guys on this team.
  5. No games are a lock. Our performance thus far vs. what so many predicted is proof of that.
  6. ...until the Saints go on to lose a few more games this year and the talking point becomes “Welp, guess the Saints aren’t that good! That’s another W that doesn’t count!”
  7. Scanning the Bills Backers Chapter list, I noticed the new Duff's on West Henrietta Road is the official Rochester Bills Backers bar. I live pretty close by there, but haven't been in for a game yet. Anyone know what the atmosphere is like? Any other good places to catch the games in ROC? I figure most places will have a heavy Bills contingent just given our proximity to BUF. But most places I've been to during a game, Distillery, Tullys, etc, usually seem to have a mix of all sorts of teams.
  8. I'm pretty sure September also set a record for new threads started during the Bills games.
  9. It wasn't until I moved out of WNY in the mid-aughts that I felt a need to find a Bills message board. I saw what was out there and saw the two biggest boards were BBMB and this place. I registered for both but quickly realized BBMB was a complete sh*tshow that either wasn't moderated at all, or was moderated by a million monkeys at a million keyboards. Chaos reigned at BBMB, and so I stuck with this joint that at least had some semblance of organization to it.
  10. I'm not an X's and O's guy by any means, but it does seem like making things more spread out, instead of condensed, would benefit our offense. I never played football, so what are the advantages of having the QB under center (not just in our case, but in general)?
  11. It's true. Amplified by the fact that many, myself included, tend to post less after a loss, because the negativity is so overwhelming. I'm not drinking any kool aid, I'm just more interested in how we move on, correct the mistakes, and win next week, not reading the 1,273rd "Tyrod Sucks!1!" thread.
  12. Thursday was either an anomaly or a regression to the mean. We'll know soon enough, but we don't know now.
  13. I always mind my manners when going to Bills roadies and try to be good natured to people around me. Have never had trouble anywhere, but I haven't yet been to Jersey either.
  14. I'm bummed, but I get it. At least now we get to see him debut at home!
  15. Like I give a sh*t what some "dese, dem and dose" bridge-and-tunnel ham-and-egger goon thinks of the Bills.
  16. Gah! So tempting to get in the car tomorrow and make the drive from ROC... if only I didn't have to be back for an 8am meeting Friday!
  17. Taking strides toward where you need to be and actually being where you need to be are not the same thing.
  18. You need to read/listen more critically. They said they were pleased with the strides Dareus had been making. That does not mean "Yep, we're totally happy with where he's at and we're keeping him, 100%!" Beane said he did not "expect" any more moves yesterday. That does not mean "Hey, FO staff and reporters: Shut it down guys, go home. My phone is in airplane mode the rest of the day and I'm going to Bed Bath & Beyond with the missus."
