  1. Anybody else want to ship the negative nellies over to a Seattle Mariners message board?
  2. Cross-post from another thread: My wife and I were seniors in college and had just begun dating exclusively in ‘99. We used to watch the games in her apartment, broke as ****, scrounging money for pizza, wings and crappy beer. We’ve since lived in three states, been married 12 years, have two kids and are proud season ticket holders. Lots of laughter and tears over here tonight. It’s a good day.
  3. HST screenname. Timely Simpsons reference. Are you my new best friend?
  4. Its just allergies. Lotta pollen this time of year.
  5. Bills fans in your age bracket amaze me. No appreciable success in your lifetime, and yet you love this team as much as anyone. Hell, I’m 40 and I feel like I’m among the youngest fans that can vividly remember the super bowl runs.

  7. Definitely tense. Also forgot what it felt like Not sure about “fun.”
  8. After last week’s sexual misconduct of an officiating job, I’m ok with that call there.
  9. The Draught
  10. Sitting on the floor, in the corner, hugging my knees in a tight embrace, rocking back and forth muttering “trust the process...trust the process...trust the process...”
  11. Lol, facts. Like those matter anymore.
  12. He seems to have the same attitude and head on his shoulders as Tre White. I’m not ready to give up on the kid yet, especially with what is likely to be a fluid QB situation between now and next season.
  13. Isn’t like 95% of the roster either from Florida or played in the SEC?
  14. Can we resolve to stop using the dumb joint nickname “McBeane”?
  15. All I know is that we were leading or tied for over 40 minutes and then a couple of mind-numbingly stupid calls went against us. I’m not even mad about it anymore. Just sad that such a fun sport is being ruined by officiating so bad it’s either crooked or incompetent. I’m not sure which is worse.
  16. Should we follow the money?
  17. I think the point is the Pats’ share is more than fair.
  18. Did you see that pass hit Thompson just above the numbers, instead of right on the numbers? Tyrod’s garbage. Cut him.
  19. GREAT THANKS NOW I CAN SPEND MY DAY TOMORROW AIRING GRIEVANCES
  20. From my time spent in New England, trust me, there are some decent Pats fans out there that are not bandwagoners and were just as sick of us in the 80s-90s as we are of them now.
  21. I remember the Super Bowl runs well, I was a young teenager for wide right. Those are your most formative years as a sports fan, so I was hooked. My issue with the Patriots are simple. They cheat, and their fans have no sense of the history of the game. I lived in Boston for several years and was there for the first, improbable super bowl run on the back (foot) of Vinateri and some backup QB from Michigan. That city was always a baseball town, first and foremost. People barely knew or cared there was an NFL team down there next to Rhode Island. After the Pats win that night, I distinctly remember a “Yankees Suck!” chant breaking out in the Beacon Hill Pub. True Pats fans that can name any player prior to 2000 are few and far between. Contrast that with Packers and Steelers and Bills fans. As far as the cheating, they’ve admitted to it and accepted sanctions on two separate occasions. They are more tainted than Barry Bonds and Jose Canseco competing in the Balco All-Drug Olympics. So while I get that Patriots dominance is all some younger fans know, trust us older folks when we tell you it will come to an end.
  22. I had a meniscus tear two years ago. After a little PT and losing about 30 lbs, I was back to all star beer-league softball form. If I can do it, KB13 can do it.
  23. That's where I'm at. Mortgaging the future for a 30-year old QB? Known quantity or not, he doesn't seem like a world-beater, and you get 8-10 years at the absolute best.
