  1. Yeah, other than the portrait mode, I preferred that dude’s stream over CBS. At least he knew all the players.
  2. I definitely saw the Niagara Falls shot. I was like, welp, that’s gonna upset a lot of the typical people it upsets.
  3. You take the good. You take the bad. You take them both and there you have The facts of life. The facts of life.
  4. That’s gotta be a turnover. He survived the initial contact and then went for a spin move.
  5. Human rights aren’t politics, chief.
  6. That’s a little on the nose, don’t you think?
  7. Coupla things going on here. First, scientific understanding evolves. “BUT IN APRIL THEY SAID” yeah, that was then, this is now new information is synthesized and applied. But also, the CDC has been compromised and should be regarded with extreme caution. Or at least a Nobel laureate, former director of the NIH and former director of the NCI thinks so. https://www.google.com/amp/s/arstechnica.com/science/2020/09/ignore-the-cdc-former-top-health-experts-say-some-states-already-have/%3famp=1
  8. I would argue catcher is more mentally taxing than pitcher. You’ve got to manage a whole staff of pitchers, know their tendencies, and the other lineup’s tendencies. Catcher is also the one single player with a view of the entire field and has to keep an eye on his defense too. I think it’s why many great managers are former catchers.
  9. How much has our world improved that we can say things like this and not have the premise (winning a SB) be a completely ridiculous thing to say? This regime has demonstrated they want to keep and sign “their own.” No reason that can’t apply to the coaching staff too, and at least there you’re not constrained by salary cap management or anything.
  10. They’re allowed to do that? I thought the life of an NFL coach existed purely in increments of 2 or 3 seasons of 7-9 football.
  11. Buddy of mine used to work on a production crew for SEC football games. He stood on the sidelines with the parabolic mic to catch on-field audio and conversations. During breaks in play he would aim it at the crowd for ***** and giggles. He told me a story about an Alabama game in particular, he aimed the mic at a section of rich old white ladies, wives of big donors/STH, sitting in the first few rows. Apparently the observations they were making about the black players, along both sexual and racial lines, would make Hitler and Caligula blush in equal measure.
  12. I’m there with you. Less than a week into their experiment and MLB is already setting itself up for tripleheaders in September.
  13. Very carefully, and hopefully with a lot of sound financial advice up to this point.
