  1. This article does a good job summarizing the tweets in question as well as the rumors around George Gillet last October: http://www.buffalorising.com/2011/10/bills-ownership-rumors-swirl.html
  2. Reading back on some of the speculation around Chad Kelly AND Thurman's mysterious tweets last fall and just kind of putting pieces together, I'm beginning to get the feeling we'll know something by the start of the season.
  3. Oh, for sure. I'm not accusing him of making sh#t up. I can appreciate being told by someone in the know that something good is happening... But when no details can be given, it can set others even more on edge (myself included). Assuming Ralph is still with us on this mortal coil and keeps his word the team will not be sold while he's alive, I'm guessing (purely just guessing) that this has to do with stadium lease negotiations keeping the Bills in Buffalo long term. Hell, maybe Ralph is even making a succession plan known, as I would imagine the topic came up during negotiations with county officials.
  4. I get being the guy with the secret, wanting to let people know you have a secret, even if you can't let them know details. I just don't get the point, other than hoping to be known later as the guy who was on the inside. I'm guessing your heart is in the right place and you want to let us all know we can rest easy? I'm not sure it actually helps, though.
  5. Darn kids these days with their hippity-hop and their rockity-roll. I'm pretty sure New Era fitted hats have come with a flat brim since forever. It's up to the user to apply bendination as they see fit. So what if the kids wear them all crazy these days? Young people and their wacky fashions have been pissing people off probably at least since the first dude put on a powdered wig, if not before that.
  6. BREAKING NEWS, PER MIKE FLORIO: You know that thing with the guy? Who always wears a shirt? It's a done deal.
  7. Any idea as to a time when any of this will become apparent to the huddled masses on the wrong side of that curtain?
  8. So... Someone knows something I don't know. Great, but I knew that already.
  9. Those covers are awesome. I love the old-time college-y feel of the mascot beating up on the other mascot. I wish they still did things like that. May your father rest in peace.
  10. I like how it shows him making some mistakes too, talking it through with the coach, etc. Shows that he's a student of the game, always learning, always striving.
  11. Pontiac GTO your own nonsense. In many cities, property owners are a matter of public record and can easily be searched by name or by address on the city website. Many on this very forum seemed to know exactly where this neighborhood was back when Mario visited Jim Kelly there, before the Big Bad Media published anyone's address. Was it in bad taste to publish the address? Maybe. Are we all bummed that Jill Kelly has a lookie-lou problem? Certainly. But this is the 21st century. If people want to find out where you live they will.
  12. Mario's a public figure who bought a house of notoriety that used to belong to another public figure. And real estate transactions tend to be matters of public record anyway. If he wanted the house and was so concerned about privacy, why didn't he buy it through an LLC or something? Seems a guy making that kind of scratch would have good advisors for this kind of thing.
  13. Open mouth, insert keyboard.
  14. Living in one of those states with miraculously low property taxes, the public schools are pretty bad and the roads are in terrible shape. Not saying WNY taxes aren't high, but you do get what you pay for in a lot of ways.
  15. Why did the Bills even hire Coach Lee? I don't know if there's a precedent, but can an Internet message board be hired as a coach?
  16. Reading the story about the disgraced attorney who Mario bought the house from... What a great piece of PR. Mario gets the house at a bargain price, and a significant chunk of the sale goes to restitution for the people who got scammed. Since he hasn't really hesitated to buy a house up there, we may be looking at the beginning of the next generation of Bills greats to make WNY their permanent home well beyond their playing career.
  17. Great, just what this team needs. A DE controversy.
  18. I actually think he would eventually make a great NFL analyst.
  19. I thought he said that's where he would've headed with all his buddies had he not been drafted, since he was a finance/economics major at.... shoot, I forgot where he went to school. Mizzou maybe?
  20. We need a combo nickname for them. May I suggest: "The Bald and The Beautiful."
  21. Hurray for arbitrarily drawn lines of acceptable behavior. I'm for all of it. Choreography, props, kick lines, snow angels, whatever. If you don't like it, don't let him in the end zone. If you do like it, don't B word when a free safety decapitates him next time he catches the ball. One thing I love about baseball and hockey is that players are able to police their own. You showboat during a home run trot? OK, but someone's getting drilled in the rib cage. Good lord, I can't even imagine the clusterfark that would ensue if Bud Selig, in his infinite wisdom, tried to lay down rules for on field celebrations.
  22. I'm with you, man. I thought it was hilarious. Plax deserves whatever ridicule he gets.
  23. You know, something like that doesn't sound too far fetched. I keep thinking back to that tweet Chad Kelly put out last year that was promptly erased and let to his twitter account even going away for a while. Something about the "new man" or something. It was pretty easy to deduce what it was about (and I remember the lengthy TBD thread on the subject). Chad Kelly may be a dumbass, but he's a dumbass on the inside. We'll know in due time I guess. But I wish Mr. Wilson many more years in relative good health.
  24. Right, but Mario definitely couldn't see Rome. Rome even mentioned it at one point.
