  1. Quick update -- iPad app is now available. I downloaded it and the interface looks pretty good. I watched a few minutes of the HOF game and the quality was superb.

No Game Rewind app yet -- but now that they have this one out it can't be far behind.

I d/led and installed as well. I'm signed in with my NFL.com account, but on the sign-in screen where my choices are to "Start Free Preview" or "Subscribe", it says "This product is currently unavailable in your area." Has anyone else run into this yet? It makes no sense, especially since I know you live in the same area as me.

EDIT: Nevermind! I restarted the app a few times and now it works! So a heads-up to anyone else who runs into the same issue! A

EDIT 2: And I also like how you can subscribe via an in-app purchase. No need to mess around with going to a website or futzing around with a credit card.

  2.

again, maybe it's just cause I'm on the mobile phone but I don't even have the option to do that. Since the new changes it automatically starts me at the last link I've read. Only issue with the upgrade so far. :-(

Go up to the address bar in your mobile browser and edit the number at the end of the URL. At 20 posts per page default, you just need to do a little math.

What I'm telling myself so that I can have some semblance of a workday today is that The Bills spokesman mentioned in the story is low enough that he wouldn't be party to what Schumer is talking about. I mean I love Chris Brown as much as the next guy but his position isn't exactly at Executive VP level.

    Antitrust legislation

Rozelle got away with (antitrust) murder with the merger, and to avoid litigation he made the promise that no team would relocate (to get Louisiana senator support, plus he put a team in NOLA). And with the exception of LA - which is about to get a team anyway - every city that has lost a team got it back. Buffalo won't be so lucky. So Schumer could make life a living hell for the NFL if they want to futz round with Buffalo

    And so he should

Excellent point. A few degrees removed from lease negotiating maybe, and I doubt the words "antitrust exemption" will come out of his mouth today, but there's his leverage on the issue.

Well, we'll know more this afternoon. I look forward to hearing what this is all about.

  4. Is it at all likely related to the Bills stadium lease you think? I don't know what Schumer has invested in those negotiations so I'm just throwing **** and seeing what sticks.

Seeing as how the negotiations are between the team and county (and maybe the state to some extent), I don't know what kind of official purview a US Senator could possibly have...

But, didn't one of our posters here who knows someone on the inside feel we would know something about the long term status of the Bills before the season starts? Whatever this is, it may be it.

  5. I'm in, but it's a big disappointment they haven't released the iPad app yet. I emailed them and received a response this morning that said, "we do not have a release date at this time for the Preseason Live or Game Rewind app. We will have more information about the release date of the application closer to the start of the 2012 Preseason."

Umm, that would be TODAY, morons.

Yeah, that seems really shady... No information anywhere about when the app will actually be available. Makes me hesitant to sign up.

  6. Hey all - I searched for this topic, and found a few long-dead threads, so I thought I'd start a new one.

Does anyone know how to donate season tickets they don't use? I'm in NC, so I will need to forward them by email. I'm thinking in particular for the preseason games. Instead of selling them for a pittance, I'd rather just donate them to a worthy children's cause (and get a little tax break).

I'm sure there's any number of charities that would take them, but wonder if anyone's got an inside track.

    Let me know, thanks!

  7. It is a shame, but it's the reality of the game. He did look good in practice on Thursday, with a nice grab or two. I have no doubt he'll catch on somewhere if not here. I just love that some SUNY alumni have been able to make it to the nfl and contribute. (Also thinking of James Starks.)
