  1. At one point during special teams drills it appeared everyone on the kicking side was wearing them... A mixture of blue and white jerseys, so the yellow shower caps help differentiate on ST? It's the closest I could figure.
  2. In the internet age who the hell turns on the teevee for Bills coverage? I'm 700 miles away from the Ralph and get more than my fill between this forum, a handful of blogs and the Bills own site. Who cares if Andrew Siciliano isn't covering us? Not me.
  3. On your Wednesday night practice pictures, I thank you for capturing me in the background of one of your shots. You provided photographic evidence for my wife that me and my buddies didn't just head straight to the bar.
  4. It is a shame, but it's the reality of the game. He did look good in practice on Thursday, with a nice grab or two. I have no doubt he'll catch on somewhere if not here. I just love that some SUNY alumni have been able to make it to the nfl and contribute. (Also thinking of James Starks.)
  5. Fine by me. To those with friends in the know: Any more movement on the issue?
  6. I posted this is another thread but one funny thing I noticed was the TE Caussin practicing long snapping to Garrison Sanborn on the side. He looked pretty good doing it too. Maybe he'll be the backup LS.
  7. Matt Caussin is practicing long snapping to Sanborn. Weird.
  8. Laugh out louds.
  9. Just a quick report from SJF: Sheppard is dressed and currently on the field for defensive walk through...
  10. Fitzy. I love the guy. Many people do. But he needs to put together a solid season. If he can, there's no reason not to expect meaningful football to be played in December and January. As goes Fitz, so go the 2012 Buffalo Bills.
  11. Hey look, it's this thread again. Answers will range from "STFU" to "Wait Until They Win 15 Games" to "The Bruce Smith Experience 2: Electric Boogaloo."
  12. That sounds like one tough retirement home.
  13. ...ask other NFC east fans what they think of the Giants. Vanderbilt is full of snooty rich kids too. Who hates them? It's all driven by context and recent success.
  14. Exactly. Success breeds hate. When you're good, nobody is on the fence. Lots of people LOVE you and lots of other people HATE you. The Yankees, the Patriots, Duke basketball... Take away the success and the venom dies down.
  15. When we started off last year 3-0 then 5-2, I distinctly remember national media outlets talking about how good it was to see Buffalo relevant again and how much better the league is when the old school blue collar cities (Detroit too) are doing well. Bottom line, our national reputation will correlate with the wins column. Nobody gave a rat's ass about New England either (not even New England chowderheads themselves) until they started rattling off championships.
  16. It's that thing when you say your prayers and then serve kosher rotini pasta to the prophet Elijah.
  17. Question: Are cameras with telephoto lenses allowed at camp? I know they usually won't let long lenses into the stadium on game day, but hoping I can get some good shots with my 300mm. We arrived safely in town last night after driving straight through that line of severe weather in the southern tier/northern PA, which was ironic because we always figured the most dangerous time to drive up from NC was in the winter. But that yesterday was without a doubt the worst weather I have ever driven though, winters included. At any rate, we're here and can't wait for training camp, garbage plates and decent Italian food!
  18. Now that training camp is here, can we FINALLY have a thread about Fitz's accuracy?
  19. I agree with everything in your post except choice of plate. Everybody knows a white hot plate with extra mustard is the way to go. Your post also makes me thankful my folks live like half a mile from one of the satellite parking lots. If I didn't already know where it was, it sounds like kind of a circus to find them.
  20. Ground up and in the freezer?
  21. I'm pleasantly surprised the NCAA is showing some teeth on this, even if it's not the "death penalty" per se. Though maybe it might as well be. SMU was only shut down one year, and it critically impacted that program and even their conference for years, some would say even to this day. Though obviously the B1G will probably be fine as a conference. It will be interesting to watch what happens to the program, that's for sure. Part of me is glad to see punishment meted out, but part of me also wants to see that once-proud program rebuilt. And hopefully will serve as a warning to any other program that may ever come across any internal transgressions they feel is worth covering up.
  22. Anything more than 0% Merriman is gravy. I wish him all the very best in the world, that's for sure.
  23. Good god I can't wait for the season to start.
