  1. I have no idea what to expect for this game. There's all the questions we have on offense, there's all the questions on exactly what the F the Jets are going to do with St. Timothy of Gainesville. I am sure both Chan and Rex have a lot up their sleeves. I know this though: A Northern New Jersey crowd chanting "TE-BOW, TE-BOW!" is definitely a sign of the end of times.
  2. This morning while on the road for work I heard Cowherd's NFL predictions. He calls the Bills one of his dark horse favorites in the AFC and says no other team in the league did as much this offseason to address their needs. He puts us in the playoffs as a wild card with a 10-6 record. I am getting so sick of this non-coverage/negative coverage by the national media. When will it stop?
  3. So what you're saying is... The Bills need to draft their first baseman of the future instead of relying on a 1B by committee? Then who will DH?
  4. Do NOT start watching the live epsiodes now. Trust me. You will not be sorry.
  5. I know who we can blame for this. Those collars, that's who.
  6. Alright, everybody, we'll form two lines. On the left we'll be giving out pitchforks. On the right, torches.
  7. I'm so sick of the national lamestream MSM media not giving us any positive coverage.
  8. Has anyone mentioned the Giants yet?
  9. That's a great point, I forgot about Lindell's injury and how he got it while tackling a guy who got past coverage. Keep him for the ice-in-your-veins field goals, and have the kid gradually learn and take over all the kicking duties.
  10. You don't even see the ball once it leaves the tee because he pretty much kicks it into the middle of the lower deck. Dude is for real.
  11. I'm hoping we can get a 4th round pick for him.
  12. The biggest nails-on-chalkboard phrase for me (and you hear it in all sports really) is: "It is what it is." Ugh. Either say what you mean, which is absolutely nothing at all or "f#^* you, I'm not offering an opinion."
  13. Does anybody else not really care about the announcers we get? I'm rarely paying attention to what they say anyway. When it comes to coverage, I'm always more interested in seeing the maps that come out the week of showing who gets what games.
  14. Yeah, I was thinking that too. Haven't seen a lot of him in games, which presumably means he's covering his man well.
  15. I swear to god, I read the title of this thread and at first thought it said "Tim Tebow wants better Communion."
  16. Exactly what I was going to say. What a medical examiner looks for and how they look for it is drastically different than the work to be done by researchers to determine CTE.
  17. All the more reason an amusing and even educational blog like TKIG's can be successful. We're all proud that you reached way back to high school economics class for the term "barriers to entry," because you're right. In an unfettered marketplace, you're bound to get crap by the truckload. Which makes it all the more refreshing when a blog like this comes along that actually provides a few minutes of enjoyment every day. I've got a very short list of Bills sites I look at every day, and TKIG has become one of them.
  18. Wow... WTF? There's obviously more going on behind the scenes none of us can know about, but I thought for sure, with all the time and effort we put into this reclamation project, we'd at least have him on the field this year to see how he really was. And all indications were good? There's definitely more to this story and I'm sure we'll hear about it soon.
  19. After watching sports center this morning and seeing Brandon Jacobs and Brian Orakpo writhing around on the ground and getting hauled off their respective fields yesterday, I'm beginning to think about subscribing to eball's newsletter.
  20. Yeah, it was local yokel coverage all the way. That didn't bother me so much as the continuation of some of the sync and steaming issues on the iPad app again this week. Not nearly as bad as week one, but still irritating. Can't wait for that pure, unadulterated HD signal via DirecTV on Sept. 9!
  21. I'm far from an X's and O's guy, but I too saw not much effort on the part of those who are guaranteed to start opening day. Why should any of them go balls to the wall? They are all known quantities at this point and there are no awards given for preseason performance, either individually or as a team. Get ramped up to the speed of the game and above all else, STAY HEALTHY. That appears to be what we're doing and I'm a-ok with that.
  22. HAI GUISE HAS ANYONE NOTICED THE SUCKY JERSEYS THIS YEAR AND HOW MUCH THEY SUCK?
  23. I just sent this to a buddy of mine who is a Jets fan. He NEVER misses an opportunity to trash talk. His response was surprisingly sober and level-headed. Which makes me think things must REALLY be bad in Joisey. His reponse: "Yeah, I haven't seen a pre-season game, but what I read is not very promising…..for EITHER quarterback. I think there's a good reason why the Dolphins got rid of Sporano. Could be another one of those Jets years." Music to my ears! Now let's get it done, boys!
  24. If that's true, then I could see why we'd be interested. Chan clearly likes multipurpose players. Adds wrinkles, and can maybe free up a roster spot somewhere for things like kickoff specialists. Yeah, that's the other thing though. If he is such a problem child, I doubt we seriously go after him.
