  1. [Rocking back and forth.] Do a good job, do a good job, do a good job...
  2. I've seen female DJs at ballet recitals.
  3. I didn't think people went over the border to the ballet just to hang out with the DJ.
  4. I think the Fitzbashers would be surprised he threw something on target.
  5. I bet it's because of Stephon Gilmore. Columbia is where USC is located. Very often a big college town will carry a seemingly random NFL matchup if it features a highly-touted rookie/youngish player who played there. Case in point, here in Central North Carolina, we were treated to lots of Chargers games several years back because Philip Rivers played his college ball at NC State. EDIT: PTR beat me to it.
  6. Like I said in the pregame rituals thread, I've been sitting on the floor all week, hugging my knees to my chest, rocking back and forth repeating my mantra: "Do a good job, do a good job, do a good job..." No time for the Internet when you have the neuroses of a Bills fan.
  7. I'll buy a beer for anyone who can figure out the SE Virginia/NE North Carolina deal for getting Colts/Bears... There are no big schools around there, right? I would think it means a key player in the game might be from that area.
  8. It's times like this I'm glad to have the ticket for more than just Bills games. For the late game, GB/SF will be much more compelling than watching the Panthers/Bucs locally here in NC. (Farting sounds, thumbs down.) LOL, from that map it looks like even Tampa Bay doesn't want to carry the Tampa Bay game. Also, I always like the seemingly random areas of the country that get seemingly random games. Usually with a little sleuthing you can figure out why. Like Colorado covering Bills/Jets, most likely because of Tebow. NoCal getting Colts/Bears because of Luck. I'm trying to figure out why a small corner of southeastern Virginia/northeastern NC will carry Colts/Bears... Is one of the players from Virginia Beach or something?
  9. Thanks for the tip on checking channel 114! I was nervous about the Ticket actually showing up on my screen after I haggled to get it for free a few months ago. Channel 114 says I am good to go. Can't wait for Sunday.
  10. I don't think you could get Maybin to simulate Serena Williams.
  11. Ryan would make a good politician. He's doing a good job managing expectations for Mario. With all his praise and fear and preparation, anything short of a five-sack performance by Mario will be looked at as a victory in gangrene nation. Mario has chunks of guys like Maybin in his stool.
  12. I thought it would be more like Maybin sitting on Coples' shoulders.
  13. The undersized guy + The unmotivated guy. Add them together and you get Mario. Makes perfect sense.
  14. Exactly what I was thinking. That's the line everyone seems to use when talking about this issue, and we know from reports that there has been a lot going on behind the scenes.
  15. I remember when we were 5-2 last year, someone posted the mathematical odds of making the playoffs at that point was something like 72%. So, I'll wait until we actually get there and not worry about the prognosticators. As a wise man once said: A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush behind a paper tiger with feet of clay sitting in a straw house of cards that has cried wolf once too often.
  16. Can Chan get Belichick's footage streaming on his iPad? Maybe on the Netflix app?
  17. Actually, that's not an issue. I read recently (and a buddy of mine in the air force confirms) that flyovers at sporting events are always tied into training exercises/flight hours that the pilots need anyway. As someone alluded to above, often it's a matter of practicing their timing, hit a target at a precise time and all that.
  18. About a week before, I curl up in a little ball on the floor and rock back and forth constantly repeating "Do a good job, do a good job, do a good job." That continues until the Bills are officially out of contention.
  19. I imagine a lot of those guys don't want to appear "soft" (read: "human"). Like Chan said, it says a lot about Mario's character.
  20. With how much we trimmed the WRs down, I can see two being stashed on the PS. With how decent he seemed to be, I can see Carder as well, if nobody else picks him up.
  21. Dumb PS question: Does the practice squad roster carry over in any way from year to year, or is the squad essentially built from scratch at the end of each preseason?
  22. At first my eyes were drawn to the yellow line of the telestrater, thinking that side didn't look too bad until.... OMG OW OW OW OW MAKEITGOAWAY!
