  1. Past results definitely don't predict future performance. That said, I'm very glad we're looking to hand them their longest losing streak in a decade at the Ralph rather than in Rhode Island (or wherever those chowderheads play).
  2. This must be some kind of reverse Pats* jujube Santeria. I don't like it. They've gone from dabbling in illegal videotaping to the black arts.
  3. I am confused and scared by things I don't understand. Who is Bill, and what do we care about his mafia? And what's up with the tic-tac-toe board?
  4. Sitting out a hobbled star makes tons of sense in sports with long seasons. Baseball, hockey, etc... But in a 16-game season, each week is so huge, you gotta play to win. If FredEx and/or CJ can go Sunday, they need to go.
  5. I will pay zero attention to our statistical likelihood of making the playoffs until we're actually there. At 5-2 last year, I distinctly remember our odds being well over 70% to make the postseason.
  6. I am not one to second guess football decisions by any stretch. In the time it takes me to type this sentence, Buddy Nix will forget more about football than I'll ever know in my lifetime. But cutting a respected veteran and captain on the team the week of our biggest game of the season to date? Obviously one of the things our team has going for it is clubhouse chemistry, that's been clear pretty much since the beginning of the Chix regime. I really, really hope this doesn't backfire.
  7. No new info on Insider. They just recap what we've already seen here. Fred's not ruling himself out and for CJ it's just a matter of his pain and discomfort level.
  8. Yeah, well, most punters have pretty long careers.
  9. And for the record, it was thanks to yours truly explaining keyboard shortcuts to people who said they were busting their mouses clicking their browser's refresh button.
  10. So then who the hell is going to be the punter? Edit: Or the holder on kicks?
  11. Maybe we're going to sign one of the replacement officials for Sunday's game.
  12. OMG, our rushing numbers are great and our passing numbers are low. Quick, sell the team to Mexico and burn Fitz in effigy.
  13. I'm just worried that fumble will give Fitz's detractors more fuel... "See??? He can't even fumble accurately!!"
  14. I get that, I really do. In a long season like baseball or hockey it makes a lot of sense. But each game is so huge in the NFL, we gotta go for the W's.
  15. Man, I can't see myself ever getting to that level of bitterness, and I can get pretty bitter. But to actually cheer for the injury of a player? I think it's pretty messed up.
  16. Meh. Bad calls happen with the regular refs, bad calls happen with these foot locker scabs. I'm just happy the Bills didn't fold like a cheap suit when any adversity struck
  17. I saw PLENTY of fights at Fenway Park when I used to live in Boston in the early 2000s. This was before their WS runs, when the tickets weren't insanely expensive. Most of the fights occurred in the cheap seats.
  18. That's why when my boy is old enough to attend a game, I will use incidents like that as teachable moments. "See there, son? Those right there are idiots who can't handle themselves and just enjoy the game. When you're old enough to drink (15), learn to handle yourself and keep control."
  19. Was the cheering by Browns fans when CJ went out as bad as it sounded/looked on TV, or was it just those douches by the tunnel where he was being wheeled in?
  20. It is absolutely amazing to me, with how bad Freddy's injury looked, and how much pain CJ appeared to be in yesterday, that we could potentially have both of them back by early October. Good lord, I just hope whenever they come back that they're healthy enough to not risk further or career-ending injuries!
