  1. Yeah, paying for preseason tickets is a PITA, but I just donate them to worthy causes like the Boys and Girls Club and take the tax deduction for the face value.
  2. Only 90%? As long as we're being fashionistas about it, does anybody else hate the trend toward visors instead of caps? They look to me like they belong in bingo halls or shuffleboard courts.
  3. I've worn current player jerseys the last several years. Getting away from that and in an attempt to chase away the evil spirits, this offseason I've acquired a B. Smith #78 and a Flutie #7 that will become my regular rotation.
  4. This "#1 receiver" thing confounds me. It's not a freaking pitching rotation. They don't take turns.
  5. Safe to assume Orenthal James doesn't count toward those numbers.
  6. Well, the optimism was fun while it lasted. How's our 2014 draft board looking?
  7. I can't believe the lack of respect for Leonard McMaltin on this board.
  8. Oh, absolutely, don't get me wrong. I'm not accusing the Bills of just making stuff up. I'm just thinking they're going to want to trumpet every bit of positive news they can about the current DB situation sans Byrd. Mentioning McKelvin stepping up as a mentor is what really stood out to me. Like they already had a counter for what would be Byrd's secondary argument: "Yeah, well, Searcy and Williams may have some game, but what are you gonna do about missing my veteran presence?"
  9. I saw that article yesterday, a few of my friends in Buffalo posted it. I like how they touch on many people in the young professional age-range (30s and 40s) have been moving back to B-lo, looking to fix their hometown. In that age range myself, and having attended a SUNY school with plenty of Buffalo natives who have an insane amount of pride in their hometown, I am not surprised in the least. I know a number of my friends that have done just that. Get their careers going elsewhere, establish themselves, and then move back home and aim to do their part in bringing Buffalo back. I'm a Rochester native myself, so I "get it" to a certain extent, and it makes me very happy to see. We moved to North Carolina a while back, but often think about returning to WNY for the long haul.
  10. Heh, I had a little chuckle reading this and thinking about Whaley's insistence that they won't negotiate through the media. Well, maybe not overtly so, but the Bills internal media reporting on how everything is sunshine and unicorn farts with the young safetys we got can not be coincidental. I like how they also mention McKelvin has stepped up into a mentor role. Clever strategy. Hope it works. Young safeties benefiting from Byrd's absence: http://ow.ly/nxdHQ
  11. I've always been a leg-man myself, but to each his own.
  12. I just clicked the link, HOLY $#|+, he dropped the N-BOMB?? Hahaha, dude is toast.
  13. I cannot believe the lack of respect on this board for Bradley Cooper.
  14. Except it's clear many of the exclusive interviews and scoops go to either Bills internal media (Chris Brown or Ferris Buehler, bless her heart) or national media (whoever it was, Fox, that got the story on Mario's foot yesterday).
  15. I cannot believe the lack of respect for Chaz Palminteri on this board. Sent from a barbershop quartet in Skokie, Illinois
  16. Who cares what John Kruk thinks? The 93 Phillies are old news.
  17. Foot-related? Or engagement ring-related? Sent from one of my four iPads.
  18. It will, mark my words. Whenever we get this thing turned around, it'll be a huge story. We got the cover of SI a few years ago just with a 3-0 start and that fantastic win over NE. Much like the Pirates in MLB this year, it'll be such a big story when we do, the sports world will take notice.
  19. Since his toes hurt at TRAINING CAMP, I am ignoring these posts until they get properly merged into the training camp thread. So they were ALL walking around like they had hurt feet? I am so f&$*ing done with this team.
  20. So reporters need to be unabashedly positive PR mouthpieces? Isn't that what Chris Brown is for?
