  1. Allow me to chime in as a Blue Jays fan... Definitely no way the Rogers Centre is an NFL solution. They plan to switch to grass and make the Argonauts build a new stadium. Could a CFL and NFL team share a stadium? Doubtful. Could Toronto stomach building two new stadiums? Also doubtful. I think some people are underestimating Canada's lack of desire to supplant the CFL.
  2. Can we throw Tim Graham into the transaction? Then I'd be all for it.
  3. Interesting take and I don't disagree... I'm not questioning the truth of what you say, but would like to know more: How do we know Ralph "didn't want us in primetime"?
  4. Or, it's click bait, which is about as responsible as a lot of journalism is these days.
  5. Oh, he's bright and articulate? Well then, he can do whatever he pleases with my favorite team.
  6. Very nice. Thanks for the report. Good to have a man on the inside.
  7. Right. Anyone can read between the lines and tell that was a dumb chowdahhead picking and choosing his words as carefully as his baked bean-sized brain would allow.
  8. What a train wreck that would be... If a group with clear outside intentions buys the team, what does attendance the next six years look like?
  9. In that case, Jello Biafra for Erie County Exec.
  10. lol, the same joke literally made about every politician ever. Like I said, say what you will about him or anyone else, the involvement of a US Senator on this stadium committee is a good thing.
  11. From the article: "The critical thing here is that we all have to come together as a region to make certain that we keep the Bills here," Dyster said. "If we lose the Bills, we're all losers." Say what you will about politicians, but I am glad Senator Schumer is involved in this process. I would hate for infighting at the local level to result in losing the team. Someone at the level of US Senator can more easily step in and quell bickering between cities/towns/counties. When it comes down to it, any Western New York location is better than LA/Toronto/London/the Moon, etc.
  12. Wasn't Jimbo a regular presence at Sabres games? That would seem to be evidence in favor of that connection.
  13. Rust Belt 4 Life. Welcome.
  14. That would be so ridiculously amazing.
  15. Great! Instead of having a few too many and yelling at my brother, I can have a few too many and yell at the TV!
  16. The Cardinals and Arizona State shared a stadium for a long time. Are there other examples of an NFL and D1 team sharing a stadium? Could be a nice marketing/visibility boost for UB as they continue to build that program up.
  17. I thought all the red seats were empty because everybody was back in the concessions area getting boozy. At least that's what I did the one time I sat in club seats.
  18. I'm not gonna be comfortable with reports like this until names are attached to them.
  19. Oh, I'm not saying he could have or even should have done more. I'm just saying this is all being reported as if it's something new. While new details may have emerged, I thought anyone who paid attention to the new lease (like most of us here) knew that it was tremendously difficult/expensive or nearly impossible for this team to go anywhere before 2020.
  20. Is it just me or are these "the Bills aren't going anywhere until 2020" reports nothing new to any of us here who have been paying attention since the new lease was signed? It's being described as "Ralph's final gift" to the fans. That just makes me a little uneasy if his "final gift" was a temporary solution we all knew about and not any real long term arrangements for the ownership of the team.
  21. If the Bills move, I honestly think the NFL would no longer be a part of my life, other than emotionally detached viewing of the postseason. I'd put that energy into my favorite hockey and baseball teams instead. People of significant means tend to care a lot about their legacy. Mr. Wilson putting his name on so many charitable endeavors is evidence of that. I've got to think he made sure some kind of plan was in place for the team. Time will tell. Hopefully sooner rather than later. As a fan base we've been in this sort of holding pattern on the future of our team for how many years? Decades?
  22. I'm sure some of this speculation can be chalked up to pre-draft smoke and mirrors as well.
  23. Nice. Didn't know Byrd converted too. Nice to have a sense the front office has a post-Byrd plan.
  24. Aaron Williams converted from CB to safety, right? Hope we can catch that lightning in a bottle twice.
