  1. Just given the fact that a supermajority of the owners need to approve a sale makes me think this is out of the realm of possibility. Sure is a nice idea though, I'll give you that.
  2. I travel to Denver frequently, so I very well may go. I'll have a better idea a few months out.
  3. Me too. I get to Denver frequently for work, so I should have no trouble working in a trip that week.
  4. I get all the out of towners stressing over travel plans, etc... That's why I'm so glad we moved back to ROC this year! Just need to figure out what days/nights to line up grandma and grandpa for babysitting!
  5. Absolutely. Fortunately, a lot of the bad ones tend to migrate towards specialties where they don't have to interact with people too much (ie radiology, pathology). Like with any other professional services, shop around, get second and third opinions.
  6. What do you call the guy who graduated at the bottom of his medical school class? "Doctor."
  7. Exactly. All Jimbo needs right now is a positive mental attitude, which he appears to have, and tons of support, which he definitely has. The rest will take care of itself.
  8. I think it's a great idea and the kind of thing the league would grant a one-time dispensation for.
  9. I was surprised that a number of groups have contacted Kelly as well, since he's been saying for several years he has a group of investors ready to go. But, it makes sense in a way. Jimbo likely doesn't have the $300+ million to be the largest shareholder, so any role he plays in a new ownership group is more symbolic, but still very important. Since he is very much a proponent of keeping the Bills in Buffalo, it's a good sign that a number of these potential ownership groups do as well.
  10. No Buy it Now option?
  11. I can even appreciate that. He's not a Bills fan by any stretch, but still recognizes what a terrible thing it is to rip the heart out of a loyal fanbase. I talk to plenty of fans of other teams who say it would be a goddamn shame if Buffalo lost the Bills. Hell, right in my office, within a hundred feet of my desk, there's a Pats fan, Steelers fan, Jets fan and Packers fan. They enjoy a little wide-right ribbing, but not a single one of them revels in the possibility of the Bills moving. They're all against it in fact.
  12. So do you cover all media around the country to factcheck mentions of the Bills? Or do you and your friends have a little club, and Denver is your assigned territory?
  13. Yeah, I'm not a smoker either, but I can't believe they can't find some balcony-type spot on a side of the stadium with favorable winds and have people go there.
  14. Once again, Rogers Centre is right out as a potential landing site, temporary or otherwise. Grass gets installed in 2018. They will not allow football to be played on that surface. http://m.thestar.com/#!/sportsnews/redirect/a75b72c1574f8aa4791b464909b1c364
  15. Jays fan here as well. They are switching to grass and won't allow any football to be played on it, hence kicking out the Argos. The rumblings I hear are that if the Argos get a new stadium at all, it will be smaller capacity, kind of like the Alouettes did in Montreal. They may even end up sharing Varsity Stadium with UT. Neither of those scenarios are conducive to an NFL team. So, there's not likely to be any ready-made, move-the-Bills-here-tomorrow stadium solution in Toronto.
  16. Now that he's got a lot more free time, hopefully he'll start tweeting inside info on the Bills future ownership again.
  17. Not gonna happen. SkyDome is switching to grass in 2018 and so they are kicking out the Argonauts.
  18. Yeah, I hear a lot of vitriol from older fans of other teams about Kelly, Thurman, Bruce, etc. When you're good, you're hated.
  19. Well, maybe he has other, more immediate constituents he needs to mollify. Like, perhaps, management and fan of another sports team he owns.
  20. Yup. I was in Phoenix last month, at a spring training game. I mentioned to the guy and his mom sitting next to me I was in town from Rochester, "you know, near Buffalo" and she started talking about the time she went to a Rangers game at MSG. Edit: Of course, not everybody is that ignorant of the geography of New York State, but very many people are.
  21. Yeah, I've spent 10 years of my life living in different parts of the country, and all most people think of when you say, "I'm from Blahblah, NY," is New York City.
  22. Over in 126 we routinely all stand up at pivotal moments and then sit down again. The crowd just seems to know what to do and I've never heard any complaints. Maybe because we're not exactly a wine (whine?) and cheese bunch over there.
  23. I'm in as well. Good old Kelly #12. Kelly is my wife's name, and she proudly rocks a Kelly jersey on game days. So the name is doubly special in our house.
