Yeah, I've got family from Canada and so I'm actually a Jays and Leafs fan [ducks to avoid the shoes and full beers thrown at my head]. I frequent a lot of Jays blogs and forums in particular, and the topic of the Bills being bought by a Toronto group comes up from time to time. The vibe I get from up there, feelings about the Sabres aside, is that everyone in Southern Ontario knows how much the Bills mean to Western New York and no self-respecting football fans up there want to see the Bills uprooted and moved across the border and up the QEW. If anything, they want their own NFL expansion franchise and see the great Buffalo/Toronto rivalry extended to football as well. Plus there's the simple logistical issue that there's currently no long-term stadium fit for an NFL team in Toronto. The SkyDome is switching to grass in a few years, at the Jays behest, and so the Argos are going to play at a University of Toronto stadium.

Agree completely. I was at the Bills game in Atlanta in 2009. With the translucent roof on the Georgia Dome, it was like watching a game in a shopping mall under fluorescent lights. Absolutely terrible atmosphere. However, I say again, it matters not to me what the venue is like. If it keeps the Bills here long-term, I am for it.

I'm a bass player and I've never liked JBJ's music, HOWEVER, "Livin' on a Prayer" has always topped my list of "Lame Songs with Awesome Bass Lines." That's more a credit to JBJ's former bass player Alex Jon Such than it is to the haircut himself.

I don't care if they have to play their games on the deck of an aircraft carrier at the Naval yard. If it keeps the Bills here, I will support it.

I don't disagree and am personally in favor of anything that makes my drive to and from ROC easier on game days. I'm just pointing out that the commish HAS to beat the drum for a new stadium. While everyone IS talking new stadium, the issue is too far down the line for anybody to worry about too much right now. The ownership question needs to be settled first. I'm sure the stadium question will follow soon after.

Yeah, but Seattle doesn't count as a winter weather city. The Pacific NW is relatively warm in the winter.

I'm sure the black is just a base for something else. I am not a structural engineer, but I would think black paint would soak up too much heat and possibly do damage to the structure that already goes through enough harsh elements in the wintertime.

I really don't think "the league" is "mandating" anything. The Gingerhammer made comments in favor of a new stadium. He works for all the owners collectively. Owners will always be in favor of new stadiums. I really don't think a retrofit is off the table. Yet. But we've got a lot to get through before it's worth being concerned about that.

I care infinitely more about the Bills just making it to one more Superbowl than I do about Buffalo ever hosting one.

That's a lawyer's dodge. If you read carefully, they're saying there are not enough votes to actually relocate the Bills to that conference room at a hotel where they were meeting. Secondly, doom. Also, gloom. The trust is cheap. Amen.

I was in Vegas a few weeks ago and threw down $50 on the Bills at 60-1 odds at NYNY.

My thoughts exactly. I'm getting beyond the "get crazy at 9am" years anyway and will start bringing my kids to games in the next 5-10 years, so I can honestly say I'm ok with it. You can get drunk in a field anywhere. I'd rather have a team.
