  1. That's because too many veggies and other sources of fiber are swirling around your kitchen.
  2. Rumors are also swirling that I won the mega millions and am an astronaut. Citation: My head.
  3. It just wouldn't be a Bills story if there weren't a general sense of unease throughout the whole process.
  4. The type of mess that becomes accepted as canon when repeated enough times on an Internet message board.
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong, but during the last owners' meeting when it was announced that Ralph had passed, reports were that it was Pegula's name being discussed and whispered about in the room amongst the owners. The only favorable mentions we ever heard about Jon Bon Hairspray were from Jerry Jones and Bobby Kraft. I am convinced that had more to do with their daughters/mistresses own infatuation with "rock stars" than anything else, currying favor for future backstage passes even after his quixotic little pursuit of an NFL team fell flat.
  6. Fred is the kind of guy I see involved with the team long after his career is over. Maybe in a professional (paid) capacity, maybe not. But at least visible and involved, much like many of our early 90s stars today.
  7. Totally get your point, I'm picking up what you're putting down. It's just worth pointing out that the Fan590 is owned by Rogers Sportsnet, so I think they would be expected to stick to the company line of "Bills in Toronto? What Bills in Toronto?" and avoid the story altogether. You know, to keep the heat off the whole relocation question.
  8. Yay. Political BS on a football forum. What was that someone once said about opinions being like a**holes? Boo.
  9. I'm a Jays and Leafs fan and I can tell you the sentiment among many, many Toronto sports fans is that they want nothing to do with ripping a storied, beloved franchise like the Bills out of its city. NFL in Toronto some day? Maybe, but they'd rather have an expansion team. Or at least a franchise that didn't come from 2 hours down the road. After all, they also know something about blind, undying devotion to a team that hasn't won a championship since the 1960s.
  10. [makes even bolder the already bold circle drawn around that date on the wall calendar at work]
  11. I was thinking the exact same thing. If they introduce him for the first time as owner at the first home game after the owners' approval in October, the place would go positively apeshit.
  12. I remember San Antonio hosted the Saints immediately post-Hurricane Katrina. I remember hearing they were angling to move the team there permanently. I don't know a thing about the Alamo Dome, but it sounds like it's a turnkey stadium solution.
  13. Interesting... http://m.sfgate.com/sports/pro-sports/article/Oakland-Raiders-owner-in-talks-with-SA-to-5654812.php
  14. 8am on Sunday?? I'm usually halfway through my first bottle of ether by noon on Friday!!
  15. It was stated from the beginning of the process that the bank doing the valuation of the team may seek out potential bidders from among their high-net worth clients. So, people with bottomless pockets who hadn't even thought of owning an NFL team until the bank came calling. THAT is what I'm currently worried about, these as-of-yet unnamed variables in the equation.
  16. I was at the Brian Brohm game in Atlanta in 2009. That was a pretty good game... ...FOR ME TO POOP ON!!!
  17. Is Thirsty's even an official Bills Backers bar?
  18. I'm pretty sure a practice got rescheduled last year too. Shoulda just merged this into that thread.
  19. What is the broadcast situation for the HoF game? I could google it, but I'm too lazy to click on that bookmark.
