I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt the PA/sound situation sucked. I was a sound engineer in a former life, so sometimes I'm a little sensitive to a bad sound setup. It was unnecessarily loud, the echo was terrible, and in section 127 at least, we weren't getting a direct line from any of the speakers, so it was ALL echo and unlistenable. I've got to think they'll tweak things by the home opener. Otherwise, ingress and egress are great, and the new restrooms adjacent to the new bar are clean and set up well. So don't p*ss in the sinks, ya rubes.

Has anyone speculated that the black paint on the exterior signifies a mourning period over the passing of RCW? I hadn't thought of it until I was walking up on the stadium today and saw the black everywhere, especially covering up the "Ralph Wilson Stadium" sign on the back of the big video board. It felt like the stadium was sitting shiva. And if that's the case, I think the stark blackness of it kind of makes sense and is kind of nice. The man that literally built this franchise has passed. So we're gonna wear black for a while.

I agree with you and think the following two things need to happen: 1. A statue of Ralph at the Ralph and any other stadium that comes along and 2. The initials "RCW" made a permanent part of the uniforms. Personally, I love how the Bears' "GSH" looks on their sleeves, but anywhere on the jersey will do.
