  1. I would venture to guess, statistically, whenever you throw tens of thousands of cars and 70,000 people into a relatively small space, some petty crime is likely to occur.
  2. I think at some point in '11, when we were 5-2 or whatever, the same stats said our postseason likelihood was something like 75-80%. So yeah, I'm just gonna take it day by day.
  3. It's TBD. The sky is always falling. We'd be 4-0 right now if it weren't for EJ/Hackett/the Freemasons.
  4. Oh no! Then we'll surely fall in the AP Poll based on strength of schedule!
  5. I just don't understand why they treat their audience with such contempt. Sal is such a breath of fresh air once those cranks leave the studio.
  6. My ears are still ringing. They'll still be ringing tomorrow.
  7. I have been to more sporting events and concerts in large stadiums than I could even begin to count. Today was the loudest crowd I have ever experienced, and I am proud to have been a part of it.
  8. Because Trump led some sort of massive lawsuit against the NFL back in the 80s when he owned a team in the USFL.
  9. I KNEW Bon Jovi couldn't be trusted! And you all wanted him as the next owner!
  10. I've got an important meeting at work first thing Monday morning, so I can't risk losing my voice. HOWEVER, I am able to do one of those really REALLY loud whistles, you know, the kind with two fingers in your mouth (leaving myself open for sick jokes), so when you hear that piercing sound coming from section 127, just know I'm doing my part. And my apologies to whoever is sitting in front of me.
  11. I've spent plenty of time in Florida. Around the whole state, as long as you're within a couple hundred yards of the coast, it's gorgeous. Head inland and it's a humid, meth-fueled hellscape.
  12. Like that line from the Deadspin piece about a Bills tailgate resembling a 1970s Manchester coal miners union protest. THAT is good writing. Dude conjured up a great image. I'm going to remember that bit forever. Bad writing is just bad writing and should be scorned. Message boards aside, of course. We're just a bunch of doofs "I CAN TYPING!" most of the time.
  13. Well, Shakespeare didn't really do non-fiction, so no, but there are plenty of sports humor writers out there that are worlds apart from that guy. Anyway, I feel like I'm unnecessarily defending my overblown umbrage here. I really couldn't care less about what that writer, or anybody else, says about the Bills. We talk smack, they talk smack, it's all just for fun.
  14. No, I get that. It's like the Deadspin "why your team sucks" series. Only completely devoid of any research or decent writing skills.
  15. Screw those dinks. In the words of comedian (and Florida native) Daniel Tosh, Florida is nothing but flat, hot and dumb.
  16. The answer is none. None more black. But really, it's more like a pastel black.
  17. I'm sure it's true. Game film must include all the ref calls.
  18. Wow, yes. I heard that and wondered if it was you.
  19. This thread is awesome. Can the TBD GPS advise me on how best to get to the big grass lot behind the field house on Big Tree at 11am? Normally we go earlier and coming from ROC, 90-219-20A is always quick, but I have concerns about the later hour. Hell, we don't live far from 20a, so do I take that the whole way? I feel I need to get creative.
  20. There we go, it begins. The affirmations of support always precede a resignation.
  21. I honestly don't think the Pegulas will be an official part of the festivities Sunday. I can see them being in attendance and maybe shown on the video board for a quick wave, crowd goes nuts, etc. But Sunday will be and should be all about memorializing Ralph. First things first. OK, and Jimbo's good news too. And, not to mention, the Pegulas aren't officially the owners yet. No need for us to tempt the wrath of the whatever from high atop the thing. I can see their big introduction at the Pats game, since that's the first game after the owners' meetings in NYC when the Pegulas will be voted on. I'm pretty sure Andre's thing is slated for the 9/21 Chargers game. I like how that shapes up. Three amazing celebrations at three consecutive home games.
  22. Listen for owners saying positive, supportive things about him. THAT will be the kiss of death, signaling that a resignation is imminent.
  23. Exactly. Any time you see random little pockets like that, it usually has to do with where a key player in the game either grew up or played his college ball. When we lived in NC, they showed a lot of Chargers games for a while because Phillip Rivers came out of NC State.
