Those of us with young children like having the one Kid's Day Preseason game a year. It allows the little ones to enjoy the Bills experience and parents know the drunken rubes won't be dialed all the way up to 11. Of course, with higher ticket prices will come fewer idiots who can't handle their booze, which I am perfectly fine with.

We were in the Van Miller Club for the Chargers game yesterday, and before the game started, I noticed Wade Phillips was there, sitting at a table eating some grub. Looked like he may have been with family or friends. People kept coming up to him to shake hands. Then he disappeared into one of the suites. I'm not quite sure why he was in attendance, but he was. Perhaps those among us more in the know can shed some light on why? EDIT: Poking around on twitter for more info, it appears Wade was actually in the club seats, not a suite.

I agree the sale will go through unimpeded. The league needs all the good news it can muster right now. Though I was thinking, wouldn't it be the ultimate kick-in-the-crotch irony as Bills fans for this to be the year our long-term ownership is determined and also the year that the League folds due to all the controversy? I know that will never happen, I was just thinking about how one of the best weeks ever for Bills fans happened to coincide with one of the worst weeks ever for the league as a whole.

Agreed. I remember SNL made a fantastic cartoon about Ray Lewis at the time that all went down, basically putting him into the plot of the Lion King and hopping into a limo anytime a character died, saying "I didn't see nothin!" And then they made fun of his dance. The "where was all the outrage when X" people are basically talking about the olden days before they had broadband internet.

It's usually because a key player in the game played his college ball in that area. We used to get Chargers games all the time in Central North Carolina because Philip Rivers came out of NC State.

What I wonder is if there's really an increase in violence and aggression or if it's just being reported and analyzed more. It certainly seems like the bad news keeps hitting Goodell and the Shield over and over again. I'm not saying it's orchestrated, but i can see how some might think but is.

I travel three time zones frequently and I know I'm always pretty zonked for a few days after returning east and losing three hours.

No kidding. Reading some of the national press we got after the Dolphins win, I noticed many writers talked about "in one of the worst weeks ever for the NFL, they had something to celebrate in Buffalo." And that's very true. Many of us were certainly aware of all the sh*t going down league-wide last week, but it was definitely party time in Western New York.

Plus, I'm still convinced locating an NFL franchise outside of the US would present a real problem (politically at least, legally at worst) with regards to the league's unique 501©6 tax-exempt status. In my mind, there has to be a reason the biggest, baddest and wealthiest professional sports league of them all is the only one to have not yet cracked the Canadian market.

I could not possibly care less about unanimity. As long as there are fewer than eight nays, I'm good.

I remember at one point on Sunday they advertised on the board that they were taking one of those huge gigapixel/panoramic pictures of the crowd, and showed the link where it would be later. Does anybody recall the link or have the skinny on where to find it?
