Once I learned the game wasn't being broadcast OTA in Rochester, a bunch of buddies from high school decided to get together to watch the game at a local sports bar. Looking forward to it, since I hardly ever watch games at a bar or with large groups of people (other than at the Ralph) anymore.
Not gonna lie, whilst in stadium, had I had a d-cell battery, I would've chucked it. (And I was stone cold sober.) Now I see it wasn't such a flagrant call.
The one thing I like about Belichick is that he purposely dresses like a schlub to protest the rule that all coaches must wear official NFL apparel. Given the choice, he'd wear a coat and tie on the sideline, old school style.
That right there is exactly the kind of good guy one talks about when saying something along the lines of "The bad guys in the NFL get all the publicity for their actions, but the good guys vastly outnumber the bad guys."
"You know what, Stan, if you want me to wear 37 pieces of flair, like your pretty boy over there, Brian, why don't you just make the minimum 37 pieces of flair?"
It's no small feat to rile up Mike Francesa, considering he's fallen asleep on the air at least twice:
