  1. What I do notice is a lot of butthurt bandwagon Pats fans on facebook complaining about how "negative" all the "haters" are being to them. I do know a few REAL Pats fans, and those guys are concerned and embarrassed by this whole thing. Me, I don't attack anyone personally, but the pink hat bandwagon brigade have spent the last 15 years being a bunch of gloating dirtbags and now complain when it comes back to bite them in the arse. Get bent, chowderheads.
  2. Yeah... When you find yourself in a press conference, comparing yourself favorably to terrorist organizations, chances are you're missing a scruple or two.
  3. I'm pretty sure editors typically write the headline, not the writer, with clicks and eyeballs in mind, so "Rex Wasnt Kim's #1 Choice" is much juicier than "Pegulas Had Open Mind." Non-storiest non-story that ever non-storied.
  4. Agreed. Misleading headline. They went into the interview process with an open mind. They needed to meet their #1 choice first to know who he was.
  5. The only reason I give deflategate any shred of credibility or attention at all is because I can absolutely see Belichick saying something to the league like "Fark you, what are you gonna do to us?"
  6. Great link, great read. Thanks for sharing. "And so here we are in mid-January. Marrone, who Colin Cowherd has now acknowledged was his MYSTERY CANDIDATE for the Michigan job throughout much of December, has taken an assistants job with a made-up title with one of the worst NFL franchises. Itll only be 10 months or so until NFL and college insiders are again touting a man who had a 15-17 record in Buffalo and quit on his team as a viable option for each nascent opening." Boom.
  7. Math like that reminds me of this scene from The Simpsons: Nelson: Hey, look how much Skinner makes--$25,000 a year! (the kids are impressed) Bart: (typing into a calculator) Let's see, he's 40 years old, times $25 grand...whoa, he's a millionaire! Children: Wow! Principal Skinner: I wasn't a principal when I was one! Nelson: Plus, in the summer he paints houses. Milhouse: He's a billionaire! Children: Wow! Principal Skinner: If I were a billionaire, why would I be living with my mother? (the kids laugh) They don't seem to listen to logic anymore.
  8. Does St. Dougie of Jacksonville/Houston still have to sign off on all posted videos? If so, I'm glad he finally loosened up.
  9. According to a straw poll I just took at an airport bar between a Jags fan (they make those?) and a Ravens fan, they were pleasantly surprised to hear we had a winning record this year and think Rex can get us over the top. Then they asked what pick we have in the first round this year. Uhhh....
  10. "Oh yeah, it's awesome. They gave me a laptop, an extra monitor AND that Brookstone foot massager is on order....No, it's not for me, why do you ask?"
  11. If I'm his editor and see this thread, I give him a pat on the back for generating clicks and buzz. Good job, OP.
  12. Terry is such a goon. Truly one of us. I love the guy.
  13. "Big splash" could also have been referring to the Irish car bombs consumed at the Big Tree earlier today.
  14. I've got some good friends in ATL who are Falcons season ticket holders. They wanted Ryan in the worst way. Yes, who wouldn't want the soul-crushing humidity, no bodies of water, and spending two hours a day in your car?
  15. Or a cushy broadcasting gig. An A-1 level competitor, maybe he sees something in the Bills.
  16. Dude! You should TOTALLY opt out. You'll get a HC gig no problem. Would I lie to you?
