  1. ...and ever and ever and ever and ever....
  2. Who needs training camp? I, for one, hope this thread goes on forever and ever and ever and ever...
  3. That voice, man. Bummer.
  4. I have a friend named Bill. He's a marine biologist specializing in dolphins. He often gets on a jet to go study them. He loves his country too, a real patriot.
  5. I would think at this point the OL would be best served by a coach in charge of the current scheme and philosophy, rather than promoting a holdover.
  6. Isn't the OL assistant a holdover from the St. Doug regime? Can't Roman just be the OL coach too?
  7. What are you, some kind of neocommunist fascist?
  8. Yes, but he got "neoliberal" in there, and that's the most important thing.
  9. I agree. While I am no fan of "redneck hockey" (or hockey existing anywhere south of Chicago, really), among the "new" teams in all the sports, I really like the Hurricanes whole theme a lot. It very much fits the Carolinas. I also like how they incorporate the vortex into the arena graphics, the red and black swirling around those ribbon video boards. It all works very nicely. I'll also throw the Detroit Tigers out there, the classic white uniform with that fancy script "D." Very cool.
  10. I was raised a Leafs fan and am thus required to hate this team, but I'll be damned if the Detroit Red Wings red sweaters aren't among the most striking and classic in all the major sports. In general, I like the classic, two color designs that have changed very little over the years.
  11. The most important question right now is: How many fingers will he lose?
  12. I've heard from multiple people I trust that have met Thurman Thomas and say he's a grade-A jerk.
  13. For those attending the Giants game on Oct. 4, wouldn't it be a shame if we all bought Giants #1 foam fingers off of eBay and "modified" them slightly? Not saying I plan on it of course. (Not saying I don't either.)
  14. Editors typically write the headlines.
  15. I lived in Boston during the first Super Bowl run in 01-02. That's city's collective reaction was, and I quote: "Hubba-WHAAAA??? We have a football team!?!" I will give Boston their due, though, great baseball town. I lived in Kenmore Square during that same time period, prior to the WS run in 04 and went to more Red Sox games than I could count. It was like getting master's degree in baseball.
  16. Your ideas intrigue me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.
  17. Yeah, but he doesn't want to point any fingers.
  18. I'd hate to be the in house attorney for that hospital. That guy is currently having a long f#%king night.
  19. I'm far from an expert, but I am pretty sure there are numerous examples where it is illegal for a person privy to protected information to leak it, but not illegal for recipients of the leak to pass it along. I think it can also apply to things like grand jury testimony.
  20. That hospital is going to have the screws put to them, that's for sure. Also, a right index finger amputation would jive with what I saw in that nasty Twitter pic referenced upthread. The index finger looked like a chew toy that had been worked over.
  21. I took a quick look at a few Giants message boards. Understandably, they're pretty upset. Most seem to believe the lack of information coming out, JPP refusing to see Giants officials means the injury is more worse than better. Not that you ever root for injuries, but anything to make the game easier on Oct. 4.
  22. There's a nasty-ass pic making the rounds on Twitter that people are claiming to be a shot of JPP's hand in the hospital, but I have a hard time believing it. Nor am I linking to it from here because I'm sure that would get me banned in most places including North Korea. For an idea what I'm getting at, look up the medical term "degloving."
  23. I disagree with 99% of what the man says, but he's honest and entertaining as hell, I'll give him that. If he was our owner, say bye-bye to any Sunday night games on NBC.
  24. If we don't play that "baby you're a firework" song by Katy Perry when the Giants take the field on October 4, I am so f&$king done with the team.
