  1. Agreed. Despite the 70's shag-carpet colors, their one redeeming quality used to be the lack of graphics and text. Simple and understated.
  2. Not before they got stabbed by a pre-religion Ray Lewis.
  3. Pardon me if I don't take parenting advice from a guy who beats on women.
  4. I've believed that from the moment I saw Pegula's reaction at the press conference announcing Rex. A reporter asked the panel if they were surprised Doug opted out. Before the reporter finished the sentence, Terry was on the mic with "Absolutely." To me, it sounded like the CEO getting the company line out there as quickly as possible.
  5. With lawsuit likely coming, worst thing he can do is admit any guilt.
  6. The only funny part about this story is that my friends who are Jests fans gave me a lot of sh#t when we got Rex. "Just wait until the circus comes to town!" they said. Seems Rex left the circus behind.
  7. I am reminded of a very funny bit by comedian Emo Philips: Once I saw this guy on a bridge about to jump. I said, "Don't do it!" He said, "Nobody loves me." I said, "God loves you. Do you believe in God?" He said, "Yes." I said, "Are you a Christian or a Jew?" He said, "A Christian." I said, "Me, too! Protestant or Catholic?" He said, "Protestant." I said, "Me, too! What franchise?" He said, "Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?" He said, "Northern Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Baptist Eastern Region?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region." I said, "Me, too!" "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912." I said, "Die, heretic!" And I pushed him over.
  8. Not to mention there can be some anonymity to one of these characters so you can be a real hambone on national TV and not worry about your boss, loved ones or (in the case of Oakland) parole officers finding out.
  9. Also worth mentioning, as a season ticket holder in the same section as Elvis and the chefs, I can't imagine how much seniority it takes to get those front-row seats. I say dress however the hell you want.
  10. Not only do the people in costumes not bother me, they are far less annoying than the much greater number of bozos that can't handle their booze.
  11. Joe B couldn't hack the academics at Free Shoes University? Yikes.
  12. Huh. That's weird, since it's all through the same ticketmaster portal.
  13. Yeah, I was all "WTF?" at first, then I realized they're just giving you the chance to opt in for playoff tickets now. If I'm reading it right, 1. you opt in now, 2. pay nothing, and then 3. pay as you go once we clinch home playoff games. And get a discount on the wild card game for opting in now? Is that the sum of it?
  14. I believe vampires are the world's greatest golfers, and their curse is that they can never prove it.
  15. "God is dead." - Nietzsche "Nietzsche is dead." - God
  16. Headed to camp today for the first time this summer without my camera or my kid. Looking forward to sitting and actually paying attention. Will report back what I can, but there are far better X's and O's guys on here more qualified to break things down.
  17. F that. Dude retired the moment he slid short of that first down in Denver.
  18. Cross posting in the trading post, can anybody get a pair of 8/8 Saturday night training camp tickets in my hands? I've been hearing the retail places you can go get them are sold out. We're making it a date night, hiring a sitter and everything, so I kind of want to know I have them in my hands.
