  1. They should've gone with Tool.
  2. It is a photograph by American artist David Wojnarowicz. I'd comment on the historical context, but it would likely fire up a good portion of the mouth-breathing PPP crowd, so I'll leave it to you to poke around on the googles. https://mcachicago.org/Collection/Items/David-Wojnarowicz-Untitled-Buffalo-1988-89
  3. Now would be a real nice time to end Smith's INTless streak.
  4. Foot was down as he caught it. Gotta be a catch.
  5. Wintry micks? Me and all my dead Irish relatives are offended by that.
  6. Just playing devils advocate... Aren't lottery odds clearly spelled out, albeit in fine print? DFS advertising average expenditures of around $6 and average winnings around $20 (again, fine print at the bottom of ads) is pretty misleading.
  7. Not a bad question. Obviously great players don't always make good coaches... I wonder if he has it in him? TV analyst seems like a sweet gig. Pick apart all 32 teams instead of just one.
  8. He does sound like a paid message board shill, doesn't he? With all the money spent on advertising by these sites, I have no doubt they are active in the astroturfing world. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astroturfing 91% of the winnings go to 1.3% of the players.
  9. Oh, the poor dears. However will they go on? Hope they get new fainting couches for Christmas.
  10. Well, that's why I said "most" owners. Yeah, the division rivals or teams who feel they've been wronged might speak up (as the Colts and Ravens did). Take a random owner in the NFC on the other side of the country, say Jed York. I don't think it's a stretch to say someone like that wouldn't care so much about what goes on in New England as long as the collective bottom line still looks good. And don't forget the Pats HAVE been penalized. Draft picks, fines. Brady only got off on a technicality by way of Goodell's hubris and mismanagement of the situation. Maybe you're right. I totally respect this stance. But what I keep going back to in my mind is: If they did nothing wrong, why accept penalties in both the video and deflation cases? Another great point. Black hats, heels and bad guys are always good for business in an industry predicated on getting as many eyeballs on your product as possible.
  11. If there's any "conspiracy," I don't think it's to fix games. I think it's more likely the league and most owners would want to quash any talk of cheating to keep people believing the games are being played on the level and keep people spending money on the product.
  12. There was that report (from ESPN?) back before the season started that claimed there has been way more cheating going on than what has come to light. When does that story come out? In the post-deflategate era, there just seems to be a forced "well let's just move on, Brady and Belichick are still clearly the GOAT" narrative. It feels like, above all else, nobody wants to take down a multi-billion dollar industry and stop their various gravy trains from flowing. This is true in most media outlets, including our local ones. I know, many view this as looney tunes conspiracy theorizing. But if there WAS widespread cheating and a fix was in on some level, this is exactly how the powers that be would behave.
  13. What happened to the "no new threads during a game" rule?
  14. If that's how you think investing works, then man, have I got some good opportunities for you and all your DFS winnings.
  15. When you run into a smug Pats fan, do what I do: Ask them who their favorite player is, prior to 2000, not named Bledsoe. Nine times out of 10, hilarity ensues.
  16. What a scam. Shut em down.
  17. One game at a time, friends. We need all the good vibes, prayers, juju, whatever you believe in, focused like a laser beam on southern Massachusetts tomorrow night.
  18. Yup. Like Bill Burr said, buy her dinner, take her to a movie and... well, you know... every single time! I'm glad the AG stepped in. A lot of people question whether or not these games are on the level. Now if only they would bring back 3 Card Monty... Pick the red card, it's totally not hard!
  19. Until proven otherwise, we can't sleep on the Pats. Right this moment they are likely signing some dude named Elian Judelman who is currently working on the Pier One loading dock at the Natick Mall. He played two solid years at Bunker Hill Community College and is ready to plug-n-play and gash an NFL defense for 200 yds and three TDs.
  20. A buddy of mine who lives out west now did almost the exact same thing as the OP, except replace "walked down to the basement" with "drove out to the desert", "stuff in the basement" with "terra cotta Buffalo statue" and "hockey stick" with "semi-automatic rifle." The photographic evidence was amazing.
  21. Wouldn't root for him to get injured. Won't root for him to get better either.
  22. Orton retired the moment he slid short of a first down in Denver last year.
  23. Ooh, I did think of one: "WELCOME TO TARGET, HOW THE F#(K MAY I HELP YOU??!!!"
