  1. Right. The point is, anyone associated with this team is bad and should feel bad. Always.
  2. I expect to have really, really awful seats in that cavernous relic of a stadium. And have a blast at the Bills tailgate.
  3. I don't know much, but I know some blame lies with Rex.
  4. Sssh, I'm getting a kick out of all the histrionics.
  5. Hey, I get it. But remember I lived down south too. I think that terrible heat and humidity does strange things to people, brain bubbles and the like.
  6. [shrugs] In this case, I value what my friend has to say. He's a WNY native and likes the Bills too, and cares about their success. He's just lived in ATL now for most of his life and has fully embraced the Falcons.
  7. My buddy in Atlanta, a Falcons season ticket holder, had this to say when I explained we signed Bierman because we're very thin at OLB because of injuries: "That's great because Kroy is very thin at football because of brains."
  8. "It’s legitimately enraging that this team got both Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson and forced them into early retirement by being such a trash franchise. That hasn’t even happened ONCE with any other team. This is a phenomenon unique to the Lions. If they had drafted Andrew Luck, he’d be an architect already." Brilliant.
  9. No idea. I know the RCW Foundation's focus will be primarily on making charitible grants in Detroit and Buffalo. I get what you're saying though. I'm certainly not putting Ralph on a cross over this. Keeping his name on the place for a year-plus was a nice period of respect, but business is business.
  10. Which the estate promptly turned around and gave away the majority of, to the tune of ~$1 Billion. It was the largest charitable transaction in the nation that year.
  11. His nickname should be "White Rabbit." Feed your head, Jimmy.
  12. Without Ralph and the loans he floated in the AFL days to Al Davis and whatever Chowderhead owned the Pats at the time, would the Raiders and Pats even exist?... Wait, shoot. Maybe he did make some bad moves...
  13. I would like to explicitly state I think Irsay was high as balls when he wrote that.
  14. I'm honestly surprised we're not (yet?) seeing the "RCW" made a permanent part of the uniforms a la the Bears and George Halas.
  15. Of all the corporate names out there for stadiums, we could do far, FAR worse than "New Era X."
  16. Got room on that limb next to you? I don't think that's out of the question.
  17. Took a quick gander at some Ravens boards yesterday to see if there was any reaction to Tyrod's deal. Not a lot of reaction, they're mostly positive and happy for him. But it looks like Ravens fans expect this to be a big matchup, with Tyrod coming back, the chance to make a statement.
  18. Maybe? I guess? But that gets back to my previous post and how we can't possibly know all the internal motivations here.
  19. The last thing I'm saying is that Tyrod was dumb to sign this. I'm just saying it seems didn't negotiate hard for every last cent, either because he didn't have the leverage, or believed in a team-friendly approach, some combination of the two, or other factors the public is not aware of.
