  1. Meh. That's the downside of freedoms, many will choose to do douchey things with them. Gotta take the good with the bad.
  2. Theismann's announcing skills don't have a leg to stand on. Oh snap!
  3. It really is terrible. Like the league is saying "Look how much we care about safety now! We're willing to completely ruin the product on the field!"
  4. I like how the stadium was painted black and they kept his name on it for a year+. Felt like a perfect period of mourning. I'm not going to pout about it, but I'm still really surprised there's been no talk of honoring Ralph in perpetuity with his initials on the uniform, like the Bears and George Halas.
  5. Jack Nicklaus' grandson and a guy named Mulligan? My god, it's the best marketing since Wang-Levitre-Wood.
  6. Yeah, we started this game with our second D and they looked solid. I'm ok with it.
  7. Yeah, but he'll be kept around so the FO can be accountable for their tee times at Augusta.
  8. Lol, the local ABC announcer just referred to our "Defensive Blacks." I love the preseason.
  9. When will the training staff be held accountable?
  10. D line jumped. Thanks, unaccountable FO!
  11. Tyrod threw over the middle? Phew. Clearly someone finally held the FO accountable.
  12. Two sacks? When will the FO be held accountable?
  13. Sure, but they're twins. It's part of their schtick. Plus, they're funny.
  14. Is this his first broadcasting gig? If so, he just needs time to find his voice. Everybody does. No guarantee they find it, though. I spent many years in radio, three of those in a major east coast market. The main problems I have with Scope and the Bullfrog are: A. Their voices are too similar. Bad idea to team up two people that sound alike. But thats not their fault, that's on the Program Director. Maybe they have a long history together? I don't sense a great deal of chemistry between them though. B. Their disdain for the audience. Treating your listeners with contempt CAN work, but the trick is, you have to be funny, you have to be quick, witty. Those guys are not. I enjoy the show much more when Scoop is out and the Bull guy hosts by himself.
  15. Jauronimo, you are a national treasure, my friend.
  16. One way or another, I envision this thread being brought back to life sometime in December.
  17. What? That's a quote from Animal House.
  18. And Stork here. Everybody thought that Stork was brain damaged.
  19. As a complete non-expert, the biggest thing I noticed at the game Saturday was what looked like solid communication on D. I remember many times last year, before the snap, heads whipping around, wild gesturing, because guys weren't clear on the play, out of position, etc. Just based on observing non-verbal cues and body language, which I am more of an expert at than X's and O's, I felt I was looking at a group of guys that were cool as cucumbers in a bowl of hot sauce, and knew what they were doing. But, yeah, preseason, vanilla play books and all that. I'm optimistic though.
  20. Can anybody spare a pair of tickets for practice tonight? Didn't think we could make it, but now we can. and the website says tickets are gone. Reply here or PM, thanks!
  21. Thanks, I was going to point out this exact location of free cold water. Not sure if there are others either. It's not exactly ultra-convenient, but it's not like there is zero free water available either.
  22. Hammer "The Hammer" Hammer. He may be one tough SOB, but he's OUR SOB.
  23. Exactly what I'm saying.
