  1. Great. I can't believe the disrespect for Hogan. #bulletinboardmaterial
  2. Don't bother. I said the same thing, was told Tasker is bad and should feel bad.
  3. Rogue Dogue Whaley, number one super guy. Rogue Dogue Whaley, quicker than the human eye.
  4. Alrighty then. Remind me never to use hyperbole around you guys.
  5. It was a complete "For instance, if..." hypothetical. He was following up comments about the Bills wanting to stick with EJ as their backup but that every player is negotiable at the right price, and there are some desperate QB situations out there.
  6. Bills in first place going into week 2? I'm ok with that.
  7. What we are witnessing here... Can this legally be called "football"?
  8. I'm surprised they didn't include Doug Marrone on that list of fun-loving coaches.
  9. I agree with that, too. I parachuted in a couple times to leave snarky comments, but it seemed, for the most part, to be civil. Not too many ad hominem attacks.
  10. Agree 100%, but that's the tricky part. Thanks, SDS. Still a great forum, even if the occasional, incidental, accidental political poo gets flung on the main page.
  11. Sounds like what happened to Kevin Ware in the NCAA Tournament a few years ago.
  12. That really blows. Poor Minnesota. They haven't even taken all the shrink wrap off that brand new stadium yet either.
  13. Reiterating what eball and others have said... I worked at Carolina when he was playing his college ball there, (Coples, not eball. Not sure where eball played his college ball.) and had friends who were close to the program. That was precisely their take when he was coming out in the draft. Rex seemed to have been able to push his buttons somewhat effectively, better than anyone else has yet in the NFL anyway. Maybe he can do it again.
  14. To be 18, a citizen, mentally competent and not a felon. Period, end of list. "Papers please" is not on that list.
  15. I can't say. But for those who insist one must stand for the flag simply out of respect, I would ask: How DO they feel about the camera operators, stadium workers, vendors, etc, who go about their business while the anthem plays? "Oh, well, they're just doing their job." OK, then, so we can all agree there are shades of grey in criteria for respecting the anthem/flag. Or that it's little more than a manufactured, symbolic gesture. Or both.
  16. What about the camera and other production crewmembers blithely going about their work while the anthem goes on. And the guy who pushes the buttons for the fireworks?
  17. The bigger point is that it's refreshing to hear a pro athlete speak their mind at all. They have quite a soapbox and audience at their disposal that so few choose to use. And they have the ability to spark debates like the one in this thread (which has been remarkably civil I think, credit to everyone for that) which I guarantee is being replicated in thousands of other forms right now all over the country. Debate is good.
