The league is so weird and unpredictable this year. I'm not ruling out another little run and finishing at least above .500. Wouldn't bet the farm on it though.
I hope the organization has a place for him off the field, whether coaching or front office, if he wants it. Seems to be a solid, smart dude. If this is indeed it for his playing career, smart money is on him succeeding elsewhere.
It's funny how the point is constantly made that there are just a handful of elite QBs in the NFL, and yet we get ripped for not facing a lot of elite QBs.
Further proof, as if we needed it, that the talking heads are full of it.
I honestly have a hard time keeping Simms and Esiason straight too, and I'm more than old enough to remember their playing days. Simms is a fraternity brother of mine too. Still can't tell them apart unless they're standing next to each other wearing nametags.
