  1. Nick, I'm w/ you.We all knew at the start of the season the Bills had depth problems on BOTH sides of the ball, and that the defense, was still the weaker side of the ball. Now throw in several injuries, as Bills fan 4ever has listed, and look what you got. PS: Nick, have a pint on me. RWR
  2. Jerry, I think you have some good ideas listed in your original post. I doubt if switching to a 4-3 this late is going to make a difference, though. I like the running reverses as you mentioned. I also think doing things like using a 2 minute offense a few times a game, even well before half time, going on a quick count w/ a quarterback sneak on 3rd & 1 (or less as in the Jets game!), tight end screens, a little more wild cat,set up screens to get Fred & CJ into the open field, things that would make us less predictable!!! Clearly teams are prepared for our offense's play selection. As for our defense, I don't know, mix up blitzes better?, jam recievers at the LOS?, be more aggressive at ball hawking by the D backs?, and, acquire better people on defense during the off season. Clearly there's a lot of holes to fill, on both sides of the ball. GO BILLS.
  3. Yeah way to go Dre. Be negative. Put it all on Fitz. Nevermind what the defense could'nt get done, be sure to come in at this time to pile it on Fitz. Great analysis, brainiac!!
  4. Just Jack, enjoy the game!!! I'm here in Va., sunny & temps in the low 60's. Heard its about the same conditions up there. AWESOME. Important question: what's your beverage of choice at the game? Have fun. GO BILLS!
  5. Great video, and welcome aboard. Thanks for posting that.
  6. Well said, Pilsner! And I'll drink to that.
  7. I'll agree w/ this title.
  8. Oh well. We got him on the cheap, anyway. Besides, is there anybody that was convinced that this wouln't be a possibility?
  9. I agree. First or second round.
  10. Yeah, Rubio, we could be 1-5, or any other combination thereof. But we're 4-2 because of good play, mostly at key times in the game. And that's what good teams do.
  11. Ganesh, point well taken. Things are looking good at this point. But these Bills are better than the '08 Bills on several points and therefore they're not going to fold. Here are some key areas I feel that sets them apart: 1. They're not coached by Jauron. 2. With Gailey as Offensive Coordinater, there's way better & more creative use of our personnel. 3. We have a much better quarterback now than Trent from '08. 4.A bigger, nastier defense now that can contain the run. **5. These bills are really hungrier & motivated to win than anything I've seen in the last ten years. They BELIEVE in themselves. (I put an asterick before this one because Jauron always had that fatalistic "I hope we can win" attitude.) Moreover, we all know the importance of confidence in ourselves and expecting to win while competing in sports. So, that's my 2 & 1/2 cents.
  12. Don't even mention that guy.
  13. The verdict is in. The Jets aren't who they THOUGHT they were. GO BILLS!!! Opinions welcome.
  14. A_B_F; I feel your frustration, and we would wonder what is "wrong" w/ some of these people? But I've learned a few things about sports fans. There's always those that are mostly going to be pessamistic about SOMETHING concerning their team. Back in the early 90's with those Bills teams, I heard other Bills fans comlpaining about things they felt the Bills "should'a" or "could'a" done better in the game. Unbelievable. So its just not Bills fans, its fans of all teams, baseball, hockey, whatever. You name it.
  15. If our offense plays like it did last week, we will lose every game.
  16. Looking for entertainment while in the Buffalo area this weekend? See if the Ransomville Cabbage Festival is going on. I was up that way a few years ago and just kind of fell into it:)
  17. Exactly! That was my take too after they gave the replay. Isn't the play over when: A. the player's knee(s) hits the ground as well as, B. an opposing player has made contact w/ the ball carrier (that guy was on Stevie's BACK at the time!) and finally, C. the ball is secure the same time that A & B above is happening? Furthermore, didn't it seem that all throughout the game the officials were always calling penalties on the Bills? The Bengals were pulling some crap on the Bills, but they didn't get called for anything until well into the 3rd quarter. Not saying we lost the game due to the refs, just saying the Johnson "no-catch" ruling was a part of a bigger malady w/ officiating.
  18. I agree w/ that, Nucci. We could steal Ocho-sinkhole, he's good at deflecting passes.
  19. Off to a GREAT start and loving it! Go Bills! But now we're a little thin in the DB department. Does anybody know of some viable Db's out there that we could snatch up for stop-gap purposes, or more than that? (if there are any)
  20. My wife & I have been in Quebec city & saw some bills games a Le Cage a Sports. A great place. Been to Montreal plenty of times. Enjoyed lots of good blues at Bistro a JoJo's on Rue St Denis. Pete, do you know of any other blues places in Montreal? Please share. thanx RWR
  21. I'm w/ you on that, Promo. If interested, check out my reply to the post "How do our DB's stop the Pats?"
  22. We all know what 95% of New England's offense is, Tom Brady. So here's some things I think we can do to slow down his efectivness. Get into his face & be physical, not dirty, but physical with him. With a pass rush on him where he's always getting hit before, during, & shortly after his throws, it flusters him & it gets into his head. Basically wear the guy down. With their starting Center out, I think we can exploit my above point by scheming Kyle, Marcel, & Merriman and anybody else, to bull-rush right up in there. This can flush him out of the pocket also where he's way less effective. Hit all of their receivers at the line. Disrupt their timing of their routes. Getting pysical w/ them also wears them down. Cover Welker like a blanket! Even double coverage from time to time. I've seen too much of him eating teams up. With our offense, long sustained drives. Eat up clock, = Brady on the sideline. He can't hurt us if he's on the sideline. Moreover, w/ long sustained drives by our offense, our defense is getting plenty of rest & staying fresh. We gotta play smart football. Avoid penalties, ESPECIALLY the ones that give NE a second chance. Lastly, touchdowns in the Red Zone. We can't do what San Diego did yesterday. You need all the points you can get against NE. Well folks, that's my 2 cents.
