  1. Amazing isn't it? They prepared ALL WEEK to play like that. Could thay have done worse if they DIDN'T practice??? I don't think so.
  2. Didn't he jump off the Tallahatchie bridge?
  3. Shhhh........I hear Neville Chamberlain speak from the grave:"Bills fans, we will have a super bowl in our time."
  4. Fitz tried to throw across the Potomac, but he missed the river.
  5. Why are you starting this post?
  6. Which is why he's schooled the Bills coaches for the last 12 years. The documentary was more about Belicheck than the tragic move-out by Modell. I think they sould have done more on that.
  7. Report: Bills Fire Headcoach Woodrow Wilson, "He kept us out of the playoffs" said Nix.
  8. Yea, they signed 350lb Taft to be a run-stopper.
  9. How did you get a copy of Wannstedt's halftime speech? C'mon man!
  10. Bills Sign Andrew Jackson, He Immediately Declares War on the Redskins - Some things never change up in Buffalo. Report: Bills Sign James K Polk, ol' "54 - 40 or Fight" himself, if only the Bills could get the ball out to the 40. Film at 11.
  11. A few thoughts about the topic of the post. (Or, "The More Things Seem to Change With the Bills, the Results Are the Same") Logical, I understand your reasoning, but we've all seen & heard this the last 12 years, man. A.This team is not going to go very far with this defense unless there's HUGE improvement during the season! From where I stand, there's a few reasons for this: We have a D coordinator that doesn't (can't?) make adjustments on-the-fly during a game, which is a must for any NFL coach. Other teams know our LB corps & D backfield is average and therefore can be exploited. The D line is not collapsing the pocket enough. This hardly makes for a "tough" defense "Played by tough people." Chan, I'm looking at you. B. There seems to be a lack of fire & team leadership, especially when things are going bad. Are there players walking up & down the bench firing guys up when our opponents have gained the momentum? Doesn't seem so to me. This lack of guts attitude is reflected on the field: Fumbles/intercepts when we do have the momentum. A bonehead penalty that gives the other team another chance. We get a turnover & we don't go for the home run strike on the first offensive play. This is not "tough", go-for-the- jugular play. Therefore, the team lacks an identity. Year in & year out, it just floats along, like a boat w/ no rudder, "trying" to win games. Result? 12 years of average to below average seasons. No matter who the players are, no matter who the coaches are, the result is always the same: a malaise. C.So finally, Logical, I understand your point. There's still 75% of the season left and a lot can happen, and I hope it does! A lot of us Bills fans are uneasy because we've seen this act again & again. We're 3 years now into the Nix/Gailey regime.Pretty much all of the marbles are supposed to be in place, and already we're showing we can't beat teams in our own division.
  12. BRUSCHI?? BRUSCHI of all people? He's the altimate HOMER!! I even looked it up, Bruschi is Yugoslavian for "homer".
  13. Hope the ALL make it!!!
  14. Well...........pretty calm so far on this topic. Based on past posts about the Pats, I thought I would get some pretty fired-up stories and such. Especially about things going on in the parking lot/tailgating, let alone being in the stands at the Ralph (referencing last year's home game against NE.) Perhaps its too early in the week yet. I don't know. I do know that it will be hard fought ALL the way through. The Pats have "chinks in their armor" & are vulnerable. And we have upgraded BIG TIME in 2 key areas that we didn't have last year when we beat them: A. a way better O-line, and conversely, B. a WAY better D-line.
  15. I got to imagine that w/ the Bills on a role, and now the Pats coming to the Ralph, what's the buzz like around WNY this week? It's got to be pretty exciting. I know I'm ready for the game, and I live hundreds of miles away from where I grew up in WNY and will be watching on TV. So please share if you would. What's it like with fellow Bills fans around the "water cooler" at work, in the pubs and restaurants and other places? And for those who have experienced it, the tailgating crazines before the game, as well as the craziness IN the Ralph during a Pats game. Looking forward to your in-put, Bills fans. Go Bills!!
  16. I'd prefer General Grant. I heard he's 'relentless' and his games against Vicksburg & Richmond were masterful.
  17. SJBF, thanks for posting that!!!. I especially laughed my a#% off at the last part !! 'Hello? Are you still there?' GREAT STUFF.
  18. Kelly's first coach??? Would you mean Hank Bullough? (Beuhler/Bullough)
  19. A clarification I feel is needed. By this post I was not calling for a fan-revolt & a boycott of the games. Just pointing out how spot-on Young's point was about the arrogance of the NFL.
  20. Steve Young's comments after Monday night's game about the NFL & having replacement refs was dead on! As long as the popularity of the games is not waning, the NFL doesn't care about trying to work things out to get the regular refs back. He did a great job of pointing out that the NFL claims to care about 'player safety', yet many of these refs can't catch obvious penalties by many of the players, so therefore, the probability of injuries goes way up. The debacle of Monday night's game was the worst. Those officials were clueless on several fronts all throughout that game, and were not in control of things as well! And Young was emphatically pointing out that the NFL doesn't care that these 3rd rate refs can't see what's going on much of the time, nor are clear on some of the rulings, hey fans, and players, deal with it, we're not giving in.
  21. K-9, have U been eating some of those special dog bisuits again? Please, try to show a little emotion, ok?
  22. Rest in peace, Steve. What a great body of work he & his father did for pro football. He kind of "grew up" in his career so to speak, during the early years of the AFL. Right along with the rest of us Boomers. He'll be sadly missed.
