  1. Dear Doug, don't say things like: "Football si a tough game for tough people." Then always pass on 3rd and 1or 2!!!!!
  2. Some people might think of this move as: "Here we go again w/ this old song. Been played more times than 'Stairway to Heaven/Free Bird' at closing time. But I like the fact that he has a connection w/ upstate NY already established coming from SU. I see that as a huge positive over the other candidates that would be coming in from other locals. He knows the people, knows the weather, been around some of the areas and so forth. So, the decision has been made and I wish him well. I'am concerned about one thing with him, though. He will have to face Bellichick & Ryan twice a year and I think that in the first year or so, he might get schooled quite a bit. More so from Bellichick than Ryan. But nevertheless the Big East is not the NFL, and he also has to face John Harbough next season as well as other veteran coaches. This I'm concerned with. If there's some Bills fans that have followed SU's football program during his tenure & would like to shed some light on this guy's coaching abilityies & expertise that can dispell this concern, your 2 cents will be appreciated. Thanx.
  3. Ya know, that's an interesting question. One can see parallels in their play after their respective hits. But I think Fitz's play, especially this season, was more about: A. poor (repetitive) play calling by Gailey, B. poor throwing mechanics by Fitz, C. Zero deep-ball accuracy by Fitz, Edwards' play? Yeh I think the hit had an effect. But I also think part of the problem was poor tutelege in bringing along a young QB. I remember the Jauron offenses AND his O coordinators. TERRIBLE!!! Just plane TERRIBLE!!
  4. In his 7th quatrane, Nostradamos predicts the Bills move to Nome, Alaska
  5. These are great ideas PTR. I like the business mind you have.
  6. Great news!! And just in time for Christmas. Go Bills.
  7. Who talks to Ralph today? The Minister of Propaganda.
  8. We've done that a pecious few times in the last 10 yrs. I bet U could count on one hand the # of times we've done that over the las 13 yrs.
  9. Are you kidding me?? "Season of the Witch" Donovan
  10. Criminal. The # of DB's we drafted is just that, criminal.!!!! Thanks for putting the website in, Bill. I only went back to 2005 & quickly counted 15! And precious few are still on the roster.
  11. Many of the Bills are saying they need to "develope a killer instinct". What? You're an NFL team and you have to DEVELOPE a killer instinct????!!!! Souldn't that be automatic at that level? I never played football anywhere near the COLLEGE, let alone the pro level. But that to me is as neccessary as running in order to play football. Wow, am I missing something here?
  12. Hey Bill from NYC, another good post, thanks alot. And point #13 is definately true. Go Bills!
  13. So U think Fisher is "gonna cook up something" for Suday's game huh? Music City Miracle still fresh in your mind K-9?
  14. Hello Bill, another good post. With #3 & 8, both guys had a career day. Yeh, it was against Jacksonville, but its good to see the young players stepping up. It's these games that help them progress on the learning curve. jmo
  15. He had a career day, yesterday. Keep it up, man.
  16. Although I agree @ a good MLB, but wasn't Darius drafted to help stop up the run game? He's been pretty pedistrian this year & that hasn't helped.
  17. Cleveland, similar city, being on one of the Great Lakes. Has a rich football tradition too. After that, Denver. Also Montreal. That's right, CFL!
  18. Pick ONE to leave. My vote would be Fitz. Through process of elimination. Wanny's defense is showing improvement. Chan's leaving would mean, with history of the last 12 years has proven, a new HC would bring in new people, a new system. Where has that gotten us in 12 years???
  19. I bet you missed the fire completely and that's why it got picked off.
  20. 8-8 would simply just be "an improvement" over the previous two years. But with this being the third year of the current regime, the team should be better than just eeking out a 500 season. Its the same old same old for 13 yrs. Again, I see a lack of killer instinct in finishing teams off when they do have a lead late, and find ways to fall short when they try to come from behind to win. The same malaise over and over again. Lets hope for the best the rest of the way. Go Bills!
