Canadian Bills Fan, great post. And thanks for putting it on the board. You know, Canada has been a big part of the happiest times of my life. I grew up in Niagara county & we could pick up Canadian TV stations on our black & white TV out of Toronto & Hamilton. (I'm part of the Baby Boomer generation, to give you a sense of time here.) My brother and I loved watching CFL football games back then. Moving the clock ahead a few decades, I live in Va. & as a history teacher, I would, many times, spend part of my summer vacations enjoying myself up in Montreal & Quebec City. The Comedy Festival each July in Mont. was a blast! Lots of fun along Rue Ste Denis. But Quebec to me was the place I really loved. Felt like I was in a small city in France, but didn't have to go across the ocean to experience it. That, coupled with the history of Old Quebec, felt like I was home. When I got married, spent my honeymoon in Quebec. Fantastic. My wife had never been to Quebec, and she loved it too. Now I'm retired from teaching, for 5 years now, and one of my hobbies is reenacting. I belong to a couple of French & Indian War units, and guess what my portrayal is? Yeh, you guessed it, a Canadian hunter/trapper. With one unit, I'm a milician (militiaman in English) and the other unit, based in Vermont, a Canadian ranger in Compagnie de Langis. Named after a GREAT Canadian fighter, Jean Baptiste de Langis.. A lot of people in the U.S never heard of him, because he gets overshadowed by Rogers' Rangers so much in the U.S. But de Langis & his men bested Rogers everytime they clashed. And they clashed often. So how does this have anything to do with your post. Well, you gave kudos to many Bills fans, as I'am one, for your experiences travelling to The Ralph & watching Bills games over the years. Well, Canada & Canadians has been a very strong & positive part of my life too. So I thought this would be a good time to express that to you.......and last but not least, GO BILLS!!
