Norwood Jersey for Old Dad?
RevWarRifleman replied to Norwood for Wall of Fame's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well put K-9. Norwood did win a lot of games for us with his kicks. It would be a huge injustice for anyone to judge him only by that one kick. No true Bills fan would do that. Losing SB 25 was far from being his fault. Go Bills in 2016. -
Tight End position. Should we be worried?
RevWarRifleman replied to Mark Vader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm more concerned with the right side of the O line. To me, that's a bigger worry. -

Which Game Would You Circle?
RevWarRifleman replied to RevWarRifleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It looks like NE part II is the favorite. I thought about that one too before putting this topic in. NE should always be circled. But I didn't put that as the one I'd circle because, I just don't think Rex can keep up with Bellicheck. By the time Oct 30 roles around, he usually has us figured out as well as he adjusts to the adjustments he made earlier. Not trying to make this a rousing endorsement for Bellicheck, it's more about my lack of confidence in Rex. Go Bills. -
Which Game Would You Circle?
RevWarRifleman replied to RevWarRifleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good choice. I sure hope Rex has our defense rolling by that time because we, as well as all other Pats' opponents will be needing a stout D against a well-rested Brady. That's one of the games I flip-flopped on for a while. -
Didn't see a discussion on the board about this, even when the schedule came out in April. But if you could pin-point one game this year that you feel would be a big indicator for how the Bills season will turn out, which one, and why you think so. I've thought about this, and flip-flopped over a few of games for a while. But I've picked the at the Bengals on Nov. 20. Why? In no particular order: Its an upper tier team, usually in the playoffs, and these are the teams the Bill have struggled against for 15 years. Its the start of the "crunch time" of the season to string wins together, another key Bills problem. Its a road game, and we're coming off of the bye week' the Bills should be rested & prepared. Also, four of our last 6 games are at the Ralph. I'm assuming, of course, the Bills are still in the proverbial "playoff hunt" and Cincy has a winning record by that time. I know there's lots of other games that could be circled. The first NE game would be an easy one to pick, but that's way back in Oct 2. I know people who would just circle the schedule and leave it at that. I know others who would circle the last game of the season simply because it would influence where we'd pick in the draft!! Anyway, fire away, give your 2 cents if you'd like.

Does this make the Bills America's "AFC Team"?
RevWarRifleman replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't doubt that the phrase came from the Dallas media way back when. -

PSU: This can't be a surprise
RevWarRifleman replied to 4merper4mer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
No, it was all about money. Its a simple equation. This leaks out = a big drop in talent in their football program = big loss of revenue. End of story. Well said, K-9. -
Well Rocky, he probably will play lights out - got something to prove...... But, I don't know, he did sign a contract to play football for the Bills. Yeh, Rex's schemes were, (a better term escapes me right now) weird. D lineman dropping into coverage??? What have you. The message board last year would sizzle with the rage that was posted each Sunday night about Rex & his D But he still signed a contract to play football, not quit.

Ah yes. It's after the draft & some media people like to make bombastic predictions. Been hearing about them for years. And yes, some people get all excited about them and anticipate it will play out that way. Although I hope its true, the big improvement still has to play out on the field this fall. Until the Bills start beating teams "they're not supposed to beat", they'll remain a sub-500 to 500% team. Just like they've been the last 15 years.

Texans release Brian Hoyer; signs with Bears
RevWarRifleman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yup, typical EJ. You don't know which one will show up, the vs Jags EJ, or the vs Cincy EJ. I hope he plays more the Cincy EJ when, or if, he gets to play this year -

What else is out there balanced against who we have as our back up? EJ is still learning coverages, as well as other things. Hoyer has seen more coverages & is more used to the speed of the game. But if you know somebody else that's out there, I'm listening.. -

The Prediction Thread
RevWarRifleman replied to 1st Ammendment NoMas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
8-8 That's who they were last year, and until they can prove otherwise, that's who they are. I'm not bothering to try to predict which games they'll win. This team is all over the map each year. Last year at this time, we would have them beating Jacksonville & the Giants. Games that should have been W's. But I don't know which Bills team will show up. So, it's right back to where they left off last year, 8-8, until proven otherwise. -
QB most likely to come out of retirement?
RevWarRifleman replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ha, you got it! And they both still have their crew-cut hairstyle, too. That's not Evans, that's George Blanda. They've done a DNA test to prove it. -

Yeh, Unitas, that would be the ultimate comeback! He's been dead for several years. -
QB most likely to come out of retirement?
RevWarRifleman replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For some reason, in the back of my mind, Flutie would suit up & give it a shot as a backup. If he got on a team that had a killer O line in front of him, with his intensity, you know he'd work real hard to condition himself. -
Bills among teams with shrinking "middle class"
RevWarRifleman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
3rd and 12, Yes, Marx argued in his "Communist Manifesto" back in the 1800's, that industrialism would create a two-class society, the haves and the have-nots. The haves would be the owners & operators of big industries, where the real $ is made, and the have-nots would be the workers (laborers) in the industries, just eeking out a living. Sound familiar? I studied this back at good ol' Oswego State. Go Bills -
QB most likely to come out of retirement?
RevWarRifleman replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOL!!!! This just in. Jerry Sullivan's "deep sources" have it on "good authority" that Nall was planning on coming out of retirement, but slipped while picking up a football and tore ligaments in his knee. Stay tuned! (man, you can tell it's the off-season, can't you?) I remember him......TRAGICALLY. How about David Carr?
