  1. That IS about it. What more proof do we need than seeing the Bills the last 17 yrs? And there's lots of scenarios with bad teams that play into this. They play just good enough to lose. They have the lead going into the 4th qtr, but can't hold, usually for reasons of their own mistakes, and on, and on, and on.
  2. The AFC Championship game, great. It's like watching a shootout between Al Capone and John Dillinger.
  3. Well, I hope for the best. But with this happening so much after 17 years, I have to quote that old Who song: "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss........." Hopefully, We Won't Get Fooled Again!
  4. This is it. No need to tune in. We have 99.9% of the "press conference" right here! The same old hash from the last 17 yrs. That's what the "conference" will be. Thanks papa. Well done.
  5. I know what U mean. Sucks!
  6. Locker cleanout time for the Ryans.
  7. Another spring league? We better not let Kelly sign up! Oh wait.........
  8. Well, I wouldn't say "everything." But a lot of it. (An example from the past comes to mind, Dan Founts. The Charger D couldn't stop anybody.)
  9. This. Plus the fact that the Bills have had, since 2000: A. coaching instability and, B. QB instability ie failure to get a franchise qb!
  10. I say it's time to "close" the book on Rex.
  11. Big C, very well put and a good read. I remember discussing on the board several years ago how there's a repeated disconnect between the front office with their new hire of coaches every 2-3 yrs balanced against the style of players that's been assembled by the previous staff. Moreover, with the style of offense and defense getting re-vamped to the new coaches schemes, the team is always in transition, rebuilding if you will. Or, Rev War players vs WWII players as you put it. Not only that, but a front office that just cannot land a franchise qb, and you have 17 years of very average football with instability built in. And so we go into 2017. Thanks again for the great read.
  12. He come up lame. You mean off the field too?
  13. Great. Do the wives know anything about football? Maybe they can hire them to get this team going.
  14. Wasn't that a movie starring Sophia Loren? Well I imagine we'll be hearing the "new direction" phrase anytime now. Another 2 - 3 years going 7-9, 8-8 during the "new direction." And the record keeps skipping, and skipping, and skipping, and................
  15. Absolutely we clean house. From the top down.
  16. of course it takes the D, and ST, but the QB is the most important player on the whole squad. That's just how it is. This truly is the situation. There's a reason the Bills passing offense is last in the league.
  17. Promo, you're one of my favorites on this board, but c'mon, isn't that like a contradiction in terms? Clean house and do what? Go back to being 7-9 for the next 17 years?
  18. Dragonborn, he has to put the team on his shoulders and lead this team to win. The very reason he's getting paid is to win these games. Same with everybody else, but especially him. Steelers defense has been tougher the last 3 weeks, ergo they're not the same team from the first several weeks of the season. No matter, Taylor has to hit some long balls because teams don't respect his arm/accuracy, and they know Buffalo relies too much on the run game. Bills can't be one-dimensional on offense. That said, Go Bills.
  19. Well Dr., it sounds like you had a wonderful time at the office Christmas party! Good for you and it looks like the punch has worked fine.
  20. PastFan, preciate your 2 cents from time to time. There's not a lot of fans from other teams that would do what U have here. The penalties point is valid, but attitude (killer instinct) here IS very important, especially in a game like football. When we (Bills) were kicking everybody's a _ _ in the early 90's, guys on all 3 units had that attitude, and it showed in their play. For years now I've seen Brady many, many times during a game going up & down the bench yelling at the players, just like Kelly used to do. Keeping them hungry, pissed, fired-up. It works. Maintain the killer frame of mind. Go Bills!
  21. But Dave, folding like a house of cards after a 24-9 lead, can the steelers & fish be considered easy games for this team? We all knew the Raider game was going to be tough, but they, coaches mainly, just collapsed. Just sayin.
  22. Just casught a bit of a piece where they were talking about teams that will make the playoffs. They were talking about the Bills and whern it was Charley's turn he says he doesn't think the Bills will beat Miami NOR the Jets. Then follows it up with he doesn't think Tyrod is a playoff-caliber qb. The Tyrod part is debatable, but the not beating the Jets is a down right insult.
