  1. Marve, you can believe it when I say, all the teachers I knew for 27 years of teaching in Chester, we tried our best. I live in another area of the county. How long have you lived in Chester?
  2. Buffalo Butt, welcome aboard! Most of us Bills fans grew up in WNY. With that, grows a unique, and I do mean unique, very deep & personal love for the team. The team is like family for us. Been that way ever since 1960. When they lose, we hurt, and I mean personally. But when they win, we fell like we won the lottery the whole next week. Another dynamic of this is, non-Bills fans don't get it! And I mean they just don't get it! For instance, all during those 17 yrs w/out playoffs, they don't understand the loyalty. Over those years I've tried to explain to a few of them, and it's like I'm speaking a foreign language to them You can see it in their eyes. So, come on board & enjoy the ride. It's gonna be good!!!
  3. LOL! Marv's Neighbor, this is the first time I noticed this. I taught school in Chester!
  4. You're welcome, Cold Front. And amen to you about getting that 2014 mojo back! Go Bills.
  5. Ahh that GB game in 2014 was a thing of beauty! We just dominated a premier team with a great qb. Like all of us, I'm hoping we return to that level REAL fast. AMMO huh? Well its good that you enjoy the work. I was in the AF in the ancient times, '68-'72. But looking back, I sure got a lot out of those 4 yrs. Didn't think much about it during those years, but with age, comes A LOT of wisdom. Did a of of travelling on vacation time, Hawaii, Japan, So Cal, England & Holland. The 4 yrs helped me to grow up, and I needed it. Anyway, you made a great post about the current situation about our Bills. FWIW, any time you want to talk about the AF, you know where you can find me. Good luck to you, sounds like you're doing really well, and lets hope the Bills get some of these wrinkles ironed out & win a lot of ball games. Take care.
  6. Agree, but implementing rules for safety to limit it will help. The only way to stop CTE is to stop playing the game. CTE would still be a problem if the season was just 8 games. Extra bye weeks would help the bones, muscles & joints to heal more. CTE is a whole other can of worms.
  7. How about having 3 pre-season games and an 18 game season, with two bye weeks built into the schedule? That's option A.
  8. Ah yes, the D line when Schwartz was the coordinator, those were kick azz games. Then the D "genious" Wrecks come in and disassembles it. Oki they say is good duty. My area of specialization was personnel clerk. What's yours and, do you like the work? Good luck to you ColdFront. It's getting late here on the east coast, I'm shutting down & spend time with the wife. Take care.
  9. Best of luck to you! I did my 4yrs a while back. Talk about cold front, I was stationed at Elmendorf (Ak) for 2 years. NFL games were seen about 6 hours after they were played! Elmendorf was considered overseas because it was out of the 48 states. Does "Cold Front" have anything to do with where you're stationed? PS: I grew up in WNY, that's why I'm a Bills fan. Take care, man.
  10. Cold Front, you serving in the Air Force? Go Bills.
  11. Well, the caliber of what we got now looks like round 5.
  12. It all starts in the trenches. I agree about the QB part. But there were plenty of picks after round 1, or round 2, to get guys to help protect better that round 1 QB.
  13. T master, I agree. But include Bean in this too. They're both at the top of the list in getting the best personnel for the team. That was one the top priorities after Wood & Incognito left.
  14. Wow! Thanks for the memories, and thanks for researching & posting. I was at that Sept 11, '67 game. Just graduated from HS in June, and waiting to go in the Air Force. We (me, my brother & a friend) went to see the Bills play against Namath & the Jets. It was a beautiful late-summer day.
  15. Jay Cutler? Stormy Daniels?
  16. Thanks Chandler. Outstanding research. We (all Bills fans) must not forget, nor ignore the AFL Bills. They started it all, they were relevant then and still should be today & in the future. Go Bills, old school and new school.
  17. KB8, a very good post, lots of observations and detail! I feel very good about our QB situation. This is the best situation since Jimbo & Frank were our qb's. Again, good post.
  18. The O-line in the 2nd half, who could qb behind those guys?
  19. Phenomenal is right. Good stat! Where did you get that from, and help me out, what does IIRC stand for?
  20. What's the over/under on his picks? Seriously though. good luck Nate. Hope U have a great game.
  21. The Bills D in 64-65 reminds me of the Steel Curtain era. So many times I remember those Bills that as soon as the ball was snapped, they were already pushing O line guys back into the backfield and the pocket was collapsing. They just flat out got after people!
